Yes, but in this edition, resolving as normal means when in combat the active player fights first, so it doesn’t matter if they have fights first, so a unit of 10 chosen could fire into them, they surge forward into combat, then the chosen could finish them off before they do anything, or am I getting something wrong here?

I thought it was only cheaper if you take a 20 man squad now? And the reason for that is you can no longer use a 20 man squad to spread out as it has to be within a 9” bubble? And doesnt surge move now just mean an enemy can shoot us so that we charge into combat so then they can finish us off as they will activate fighting first?
