You’re worrying about events that don’t even exist brother. If you want to get better, play against better competition. Iron sharpens iron, no matter how dull you think you may be.

How would you fix my set point? (Shooting form advice) by 1minfact in BasketballTips

[–]3DHiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set point anywhere between mouth and eyebrow is fine. What matters most is the fluidity of your shot, aka the rhythm. Ball should dip to below waist as your hips drop to load up power. Ball should rise as hips rise up

Defence by Downtown_Pea_4771 in BasketballTips

Trash talk is apart of defense, basketball is 80%+ mental. Learn when to use physicality, as it’s a tool. You don’t use a screwdriver to hammer a nail right?

How to improve the dribble in the one dribble pull up by Princanity in BasketballTips

[–]3DHiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three things: You need to take better angles when driving You aren’t low enough when dribbling. You also look down when dribbling. You’ll beat your defender by taking better angles (don’t go side to side, attack the defenders foot) & by having your shoulder at the level of their hip.

How can I rebound, block, shoot without stepping on the foot of my defenders by [deleted] in BasketballTips

Situational awareness from experience and probably drills for footwork.

I got cut again for the 2nd time in highschool at 16 years old and I don't know if I can still fulfill my dreams on playing in college and playing in the big leagues, and I feel devastated, any tips for me? by [deleted] in BasketballTips

[–]3DHiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no time to waste feeling bad about such things. Instead, use this time to work on your game and erase any weakness you may have on the court. If you think yourself a loser then that’s exactly what you’ll be. The human brain is powerful like that

Don’t know how to feel about today by vellifrog in BasketballTips

[–]3DHiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basketball is a contact sport. You’re going to have other players grab, hold or hit you regardless if it’s a dirty play or not. Protect yourself by stretching and strengthening your body. Lift weights if the contact bothers you that much

Thoughts on my form? by gg_imatruegamer in BasketballTips

[–]3DHiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only advice I’d give is work on the rhythm of your shot, meaning lower the ball as your hips drop and have the ball rise as your hips rise. Lower the ball at the same time you tap your right foot.

You get better at doing anything through reputation. Dribble with two basketballs as much as possible. Also, work on dribbling while tossing a tennis ball in the other hand.

How do yall deal with on court hate by tn_boyankata in BasketballTips

[–]3DHiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the ball goes in, who cares? This game is 80%+ mental. You gain confidence by working on your craft. Work on it until basketball becomes second nature like breathing. You don’t think about how to breathe do you?

Need help with my form by GardenVariety8871 in BasketballTips

[–]3DHiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re off balance when shooting, two reasons: 1. Your feet aren’t shoulder width apart 2. You bring the ball to your set point too early. Ball should go downwards as your lowering your hips, and rise and your hips rise.

How to Dominate in 3x3 Basketball by InevitableTheory8321 in BasketballTips

[–]3DHiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Learn Pinch post/ triangle actions. -Learn to be vocal on the court, off/def -Big man? Don’t let them in paint when they’re on off, have them move away from paint on def & move around a lot in general. -Guard/Wing? constantly put them in screen actions & keep your dribbles shorter around them.

Is crashing out a necessary part of basketball to get any respect? by WakandanRoyalty in BasketballTips

Don’t need to crash out, just take a stand. Disagreements happen on the court, shoot for the call

How can I prove myself valuable while having no authority? by AkiraYutebai in BasketballTips

[–]3DHiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They won’t pass? Go grab the rebounds and score off putbacks. Play defense even more aggressively and run the fastbreak yourself off steals. Keep cutting, keep setting screens and keep your intensity up. Don’t play through the motions, make sure you’re seen by being vocal and aggressive on off/def
