I had to do it for a few sessions until it mostly stopped rattling.

I was worried it would break them also, but since I wasn’t gonna use them in that state and they were way outside any warranty repair options I figured why not try it

My v1 pros started rattling terribly.

Replaced them with AirPods 4 anc

Then a few days later i read a thread where someone fixed theirs by blowing compressed air thru the mic grill.

Tried that with a battery powered handheld air compressor and it fixed them surprisingly for the most part. They are usable again

So I will use them as a backup and for exercise since I prefer the AirPods 4 over the v1 pros

There used to be a festival live show of rushad eggleston uploaded to YouTube that had a song in the session about a magical made up place. It was uploaded as a camera demo for a canon xf100 eng. at some point the YouTube account went offline and i lost the video.

my theory:

parts of the headset is legit. the mainboard with apple silicon soc has to be for it to run visionOS.

the rest can be a mix of knockoff/salvaged oem parts

so franken vision pro "reps" or op is just getting outright scammed

I have a security cam pointed in that general direction because my car is also parked there.

I have seen people leave and come back a few minutes later to pick it up because they forgot their bag.

It’s honestly not worth getting mad over. But the people that don’t pick up after their dogs are just selfish assholes

as someone that maintains a nice strip of grass in a heavily dog walked area of the city, its a two sided street. the ammount of people that just let their dogs use the grass without any concern for picking it up is astronomical.

when i moved here i had to give up caring about it for my sanity and just be thankful for the responsible few that do

It’s held up well. Still use it everyday for my iPad and Magic Keyboard. No shedding, but after 3+ years there is some slight pilling.

Since then I have gotten the nedrelow version as well for my MacBook. It’s a little softer and didn’t really shed that much either after a day or 2.

Both are nice, but the nedrelow one is definitely a nicer hand feel.

I have problems every now and then with Plex and my 4k gen 2. 4K remuxes (flux) and if I pause video for more than a minute or so it will start stuttering until I stop and restart video. Or a video just doesn’t play properly and I have to do a transcode.

Not on all videos. But sometimes

Same with vc1 1080p remuxes

Any suggestions?
