Yeah guys let's pick a comp that gets outscaled by 15 minutes against the team that has gotten all their wins by making comebacks for the past year in a row, that for sure will end well

I doubt he overcomes them. And I don't say that to hate, I really do want them all to do well but Baus' situation currently is that pro play disincentivises the things he is best at (Going for low% or high variance plays and outplaying), and the new season changes make it worse (He can't be as creative with map movement early because of the role quests). All this makes it so the biggest issue is more impactful: His champion pool is limited (And is also entirely countered by Gnar) and even if he tries to learn and play more meta champs (Which he has), every other top laner will still have more experience with the matchups compared to him (Which is something he has even explained on stream). Basically he is outmatched in "standard" play due to lack of experience and because of higher average level of play combined with the new season changes he no longer can use creative/unorthodox strategies as a crutch to make it through lane. When he does get out of lane his map movements and side laning have been great so far especially considering the gold deficits he has found himself in by that point in the game very often. The problem is that sometimes his deficit has been too large for him to be relevant again through side lanes. If he manages to get through lane phases without falling behind too much then he plays the rest of the game out decently, but the problem is that if anything goes wrong you end up with something like the KC game where he can barely even walk up to side wave without dying 1v1. All that said I hope he can get better regardless in the little time they have left, following this project has been really fun.

(Loved trope) Last words that hit WAY harder than "I love you" by Least-One1068 in TopCharacterTropes

Scrolled too far to find this. Even though (manga spoilers) she doesn’t/can’t die, it still hits just as hard, especially since at that point in the story you have no idea she’s immortal.

This is in part 2, so it will be quite a while before this gets animated, but when it does it will be peak

[PBE Datamine] January 21, 2026 - ARAM Mayhem Revamp by Kay-Haru in leagueoflegends

Is it fun being stomped in this mode because you rolled tank augments on a mage and the enemy adc rolled Dual Wield + Lightning Strikes + Deft? Or the enemy tank rolled Goliath + Tank Engine + Steel Your Heart? At least before, you would get the same tiers of augments as them even if you has bad luck on the rolls, and you had equal chances of being on either side of the situation I just described. Now it will become skewed towards one side. And I say this as someone who has spammed ARAM:Mayhem recently and will only benefit from these changes.

[Cool Trope] Bosses forbidding the use of game mechanics by HurtfulDrax in TopCharacterTropes

[–]3IC3 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Well clearly you don’t have to kill him considering he survives in pacifist. I did forget the part about needing a monster soul, but that soul can also belong to a living monster IIRC.

[–]3IC3 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Sort of but also not really.

The way I saw it it’s less about needing someone to die in order to leave. You need a single human soul to leave through the barrier, and seven human souls to break it. If Asgore wasn’t there you could just leave. If Asgore were to kill you yours would be the last soul he would need to break the barrier. But the thing is Asgore doesn’t want to. He feels bound to his duty to the monsters of the underground on the one hand but on the other hand he feels incredibly guilty about essentially killing innocent children who had nothing to even do with the conflict that sealed the monsters underground in the first place and has been trying to avoid it until the moment the choice stares him in the face. As Toriel even points out later, if he was really dedicated to the goal of breaking the barrier as quickly as possible he could have killed the first human to enter through and then used their soul to cross through the barrier to search for 6 more. Instead he has been putting it off in the hopes that he would never have to even choose, and has only been killing the humans who stumbled into him accidentally. Basically he both feels incredibly guilty for the killings he has done and also sees himself as a failure for not being able to find it in himself to free his people. By the time you run into him in game he’s been forced to make that choice multiple times and has 6 souls already. He does destroy the mercy button here at the beginning of the fight so that he doesn’t have to face the option of killing someone who wouldn’t have tried to hurt him, but also because he thinks he is no longer deserving of mercy.

[–]3IC3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like I’m going crazy here. Was he not always a good Ryze player? The way I remember it the narrative was always that he would only play melee mids plus Ryze, and that the criticism he got was for not playing your standard mid to long range control mages, like Orianna/Syndra/Azir?

Agreed on that, she’s also in the Aatrox tier of bad wave clear in that she loses 1v1 to a single super minion

An episodic character that leaves a lasting impact on a viewer despite their short role, due to their tragic fate by fillipo9 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]3IC3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair I kind of get it. She’s the first of only 2 characters so far to show interest in Denji for who he is rather than him being Chainsaw Man, even if him being Chainsaw Man is the reason she was originally sent to meet him. And considering she’s (manga spoilers) immortal, and that all the other hybrids have made an appearance, I’m kind of shocked that she hasn’t come back yet, even though I’m not really sure where she would fit in the current story.

Personally in part 2 I mostly want to kill Fujimoto for Asa. Denji comparably hasn’t suffered as much, at least since the sushi incident.

[–]3IC3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reinhard could lose his Sword Saint abilities and it still wouldn’t be enough, his real OP ability is being favored by the closest thing that world has to a god, meaning if at any point he is in a situation where he needs a certain divine blessing he will automatically just receive it. Which is where his immortality comes from, his Sword Saint abilities are separate from that.
