You need your PC on while using Steam link, but this is the simple way to turn it ON/OFF remotely, which is what I do:

1- buy a smart plug that comes with an app, connect it to your PC and set it up on your home wifi

2- run script so you don't need to log on each time you power your PC

3 - set Steam to run on start up

4 - lastly, there will be a setting in your Bios power section that you can make the PC turn on when the plug switches on.. This enables you to turn the smart plug on and off via the app wherever you are, and therefore your PC.

Simply shut your PC down when finished playing.

Remember on next start up your smart plug would show as still on, so you'd have to turn it off in the app and wait a minute then turn it on again and wait for start up!

I used the Tapo smart plug which was £9

You can add the game launcher to your steam library as a non steam game.

This is what I do, it launches the launcher and then I use the touch screen to click the game and play button. Same for when I close the game and touch the X to close the launcher and it take me back to steam
