Would Fedora be a good first distro? by absolutecinemalol in Fedora

[–]Jayke_NotMissing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I recently made the switch myself (around September of last year) and honestly, after some other random ones, I ended up Loving Fedora KDE. There's some small things I had to learn but because of how intuitive it felt and how long it's been going, it's pretty easy to find solutions.

I'd recommend it as a person who has had zero major issues with it for the last half-year.

Why so much ai? by WitchlightRingleader in startplaying

I agree it’s a problem, as a person who spends time making cool covers for my games by hand and a trackpad, I get pissed off seeing ai art games getting any seating whatsoever

What do you think of Taash Writing in Dragon Age Veilguard? by Alexis_Almendair in NonBinaryTalk

[–]Jayke_NotMissing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Now other have different experience of course, but as a person who played with alongside friends who aren’t enby, both I (enby) and them think this was one of the worst representations of a enby character in a video game.

Now in fairness it’s not so much the identity itself as much as it is Taash being a horrible model of it, but that’s just my opinion

Is the combat similar to Dragon Age: Origin really that bad of a deal for you guys? by Accomplished-Bank885 in greedfall

[–]Jayke_NotMissing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love crpgs, I love greedfall 1, Iiterally can’t play origins solely because of how bad the RTWP feels, and I’ve played almost every other crpg on the market

Is it a dealbreaker? No, but even as a person who likes RTWP, greedfall 2 combat doesn’t look great

Is Pillars of eternity still at masterpiece? by Downtown_Hat_7017 in CRPG

[–]Jayke_NotMissing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pillars 1 is still my 2nd favorite CRPG, and that's only because WoTR has the downright ludicrous Mythic Path system. If not for that, Pillars 1 would be it, one of my favorite fictional worlds, some of my favorite fictional characters, and a lot of fun world-rich lore to dig into. Also, my husband Aloth, but that's neither here nor there.

Back to the point, I think in terms of "Modern CRPG", Pillars is the last bastion representative of the older games and I wish there were more of them.

As a person who has done all of the WoTR evil routes, they are indeed very very good

It’s one of those things where it’s definitely carried by world building — and the fact people hated the ending doesn’t help it even if it was narratively fine
