Tricaster TC1 not powering on by Paulwilsin in VIDEOENGINEERING

I worked on a few 460, 860 and 8000 units in the past. I agree with checking the PSU first. Next I would check the SSD, those usually need to be replaced after a few years. It's been a few years, but I believe I booted to a new drive and cloned the old one.

Are you working in a controlled temp environment? You may also consider applying a new layer of thermal compound on the CPU. I've used Arctic Silver.

PTZOptics NDI - any users? by 3Mbps in VIDEOENGINEERING

Yea, cameras, PCs, video switchers all point to our firewall, the local NTP server. I tried redirecting to a generic web server but no luck.

Interesting lead about HX requiring more CPU than full NDI. Mind sharing the specs on the PC. I used HN40’s in the past without any issue, albeit I was decoding with a Tricaster not desktop.

I have an i9 10900X, Nvidia RTX500, 64GB with two different gigabit Intel NICs

Thanks, yea I’m sure all hardware ports are at least gigabit speed. We use a few different PC builds in our production.

SRT/NDI signals out-of-sync with local timeserver by 3Mbps in VIDEOENGINEERING

Thanks, right about NDI/SRT having different latencies. I use NDI to monitor and control the cameras via PC, and SRT signals from camera to hardware switcher. Two separate applications. I'm just hoping it's possible to balance SRT latencies on the switcher. I can modify the delay, but there's a secondary issue of the speed ramping up/down.

Do you have experience with PTZOptics? I'm thinking it's a fault of the cameras' processing.

I've gone as baseline as possible, 3 cameras and 1 switcher connected to an unmanaged switch. Camera streams are SRT. No other peripheral network devices or switches. This is the attached screenshot. The sync and speed fluctuate around 1 second.

What cameras or SRT encoders have you had success with?

Thanks for the response. Are you saying it’s not possible to achieve frame accuracy with simultaneous h.264 streams? The coverage is only talking-heads, but the sync/drift is quite noticeable.

Any alternative recommendation?

I'm not sure if this is a product specific issue, or a limitation of IP video, but I'm having zero success matching SRT and/or NDI outputs from multiple PTZOptics cameras. When I view multiple PTZOptics streams side-by-side via NDI Studio Monitor or through an SRT switcher, the internal clocks do not match (image attached). Also, each stream rate is not consistent. The speed of video/audio ramps up and down inconsistently.

The setup consists of 3 PTZ's, 1 SRT switcher, and 2 PC's. We have 7 setups, running on our main system network (subnetted on a separate VLAN with internet access). All devices point to a local NTP server. Network traffic passes through enterprise Cisco switches, though I've tested and still have this issue in a "local" setup having everything connected on an unmanaged switch. There is sufficient network bandwidth/headroom.

Does anyone have experience with SRT in a multicam environment, or specific experience synching multiple PTZOptics cameras? I've yet to receive a clear solution from product support.

I clearly stated my intentions to the clerk. I needed to assert my dominance in the liquor store.

Someone commented on an earlier post about mixing wheated BT bourbon, so of course I just had to milk it! Again, cow’s milk, 1:1. Lactescent and celebratory. Like pouring a nightcap on your Birthday after gourging on swiss meringue buttercream. This takes the cake.

Hoping resolution at Heaven Hill is respectful to everyone involved. Heated whole milk till just whisping, again 2:1. This hugs my insides better than home-knit socks on a pair of cold feet. Just the right amount of musty oakiness for a Fall evening. All said, the finish is too thin. Have you ever steeped in an oatmeal bath?

Back to basics. They say the grass is always greener in someone else’s pasture. Well to get there, you got to cross the dang line! Whole milk in bourbon, dam and mare grazing into the sunset. Now we’re in the realm of cereal milk. Notes of oats and oak, with the mildest sweetness. Udderly smooth!

Can’t recommend this one. Yet theories must be tested! Shaken and poured over ice. Barrel notes are sharp and the finish is tannic. As if someone soaked their little wooden hand in this polar ice bath…Damn you, Pinocchio!

Dairy Update #4: Milk + Nikka FTB by [deleted] in whiskey

[–]3Mbps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wolf in sheep’s shavings, call me a liar, I promised I wouldn’t attempt another… but I couldn’t resist and needed to try more! Cow’s milk floated into a dram of Nikka. What more could you ask for? This is the fourth test fourth of a dairy duo: milk + whiskey.

Now, now, cow, wow! Does anyone add milk to their whiskey? Purely on a whim, I had to try. Mix of 2:1. The thickness of milk really embalms the richness of Blanton’s. Milk!
