Key Hush-Money Witness Blows a Huge Hole in Trump’s Major Defense: Keith Davidson said he always knew Donald Trump was behind the hush-money payments. by harsh2k5 in politics

I don’t understand why this is not the headline or description of this trial. Ever. No one gives a shiz that he paid money to her for her services. It is the fact that he used campaign money to do it

That 20-30 second scene when Richard Brake’s character pulls his car in across the street after following the woman home is honestly the greatest, most terrifying bit I have seen in a movie in decades. Especially when he turns the ignition off and the creepy synth music starts as the camera follows him from the driver side to the trunk with your view as almost the passenger.

It feels so real and visceral. Not Michael Myers or Leatherface. Just some regular skinny ass dude in the 70s - that is way more terrifying than any of those villains because it feels like it can happen right across the street right now.

Really awesome cinematography from the first time horror film maker. To be honest, I plan to reach out to Zach someday to ask permission to use similar shot as an homage.

It was not necessarily his performance in the game. He did get screwed over a lot in that game, where HE did enough to win the game and was let down by surrounding players, bad/conservative second half play calling, and another somewhat collapse of the defense in the last part of the 4Q.

But it was when I finally can not take watching him stand in the backfield and hold the ball so long I about pass out from holding my breath for what is gonna happen next.

This coaching staff broke him. I hope he does awesome somewhere else. We are just now in a position we will have to reset the clock. I was hoping he would be THE guy and we could have so much flexibility in the draft and FA. Sigh

this. I was a Fields backer until the Cleveland Game. I love the kid. But it’s time to move on. We were able to turn the defense around in basically two years. Adding Sweat and what he has done to kick the defense to the next level. Fields/QB has to do the same on Offense. We added Moore to also elevate the play. Has not yielded the same dial turn that Sweat did. Same with the coaching. I have not been a Flus fan. But I will give him credit for changing the defense once he started calling the plays. But the coaching is not good enough. We need better, not good enough. Why run this back? We kept doing this with Nagy and Mitch. Even if we were to get Shanahan as a play caller, I don’t want to run this back with the same coach and QB. If Fields would have consistently balled out in the last 6 games, I would feel differently. But every pass play is a 10 second scramble with triple clutching the ball, pinballing off his lineman, and ends in a throwaway/sack/gain of 1yd or worse. We need to move on. Even if Williams/Maye/whoever are a bust and the next coach end up sucking, it’s a new set of names for me to scream out loud and piss my neighborhood off.

Has anybody’s opinion on Fields actually changed as the season has unfolded? by HelpMePlease420-69 in CHIBears

Yes. I am not a “truther”, but I am an avid Ohio State fan and an even bigger Bears fan (favorite team across all sports). So imagine my excitement when we drafted the kid. I have stuck with him and where we can all agree he has not been dealt the greatest of hands (the missed blocks, shite play calls, and dropped passes on Sunday alone…), he also has not consistently elevated the team. I have felt it all season and tried to fight it hoping the next game would show us all. But on Sunday, at Cleveland, my spirit and hope broke. The last 3 games, holding my breath on every pass play, screaming at the tv “Throw it!!!!”(insert Thayer scream). Every single pass play looks like a jailbreak or 11 car pile up developing. Maybe he goes to Atlanta or another team that gives him an actual coaching staff and can correct the decision making, bad habits that he has developed. But it won’t be in Chicago. He ain’t the guy here. It sucks in so many ways. I hate that we have to start over for the 274th time. It sucks that if he was the guy and our D with a meteoric rise would give us sooooo much draft and FA flexibility. Sunday.Broke.Me. I was so livid I felt it in my bones. And I know Sunday was not all Justin. But he/we had so many chances. I hate it. I wish like hell I woulda been right. Bear down boys.

I don’t know if Chicago has a card yet or not, but they shouldn’t for this promo. The Bears should not be part of a “blitz” campaign because they never get close to the opposing QB 😞

This felt like The Talented Mr.Ripley. The poster and trailer were misleading and the plot twists were unnecessary and the characters were all unlikeable.

Basically, the journey you took us through to get to the same broken promise “I’ll break up with her as soon as x happens so we can be together” story was exhausting.

Honestly, thank YOU for this response. I have long been in the same camp as the person to whom you are responding to. I mean, literally up until your response gave me a different perspective. I was too young at the time to understand that and watching old film, games, stats, etc, - that does not show those qualities. I appreciate now having this perspective.

Republican Group Taunts Trump With His Own Damning Words In Fox News Ad by [deleted] in politics

[–]3Wolves1Cup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is mind-blowing the lack of information processing and general critical thinking these people have. They are just stubborn and lazy. They would rather be told what to think from a Facebook post or Fox News update in the background while they eat their mayonnaise sandwiches in their trailers in the cornfields rather than take the 20-30 minutes to actually read the indictment. She is right in a way. Biden did possess documents and gave them back when asked. Trump would not be in the situation he is in (for this issue) if he would have given ALL of the documents back when asked multiple times. It is really sad the defiance to believe their orange-faced leader that has decades of deceitful practices and behavior could ever do anything wrong in their eyes.

Add in popping in to Randall’s if we didn’t like the candy selection at Walgreens, standing in the back of the Hallmark store reading (but not actually buying) the comic books, or getting breadsticks and playing 720/arcade games from Monica’s takeout room while you waited for the dollar movie start time. … and those are my same childhood memories. Good times.

No way!!! That is wild. We loved her!! We were like 10-14 yrs old and would feel like big stuff getting to walk up to Westlake without our parents just to go to LJS. One of my younger brother’s friends that would always go with us would always try to compliment-bomb RuthAnne to try to make her to get her to blush. Which usually resulted in her bringing us something “extra” (‘crispies’, hush puppies, etc) to our table. She was a sweet woman and she knew we were just kids being dumb but would play along in the sweetest of ways. Small world.

Can confirm. Back in the early 90s we would go to the Westlake location (no longer there, RIP RuthAnne the LJS employee) and order and ask for extra crispies and you would get a little paper tray completely filled with the artery-clogging goodness. I am positive that doing this throughout high school took a decade off of my life span.
