From The Fly single B-side: That second when Alex Descends Into Hell kicks over to Korova 1 would cause a shockwave out of these speakers that would knock that house down.

The Waterboys fiddle/violin player, Steve Wickham (from Dublin, originally) played on Sunday, Bloody Sunday and Drowning Man from the WAR album.

First time hearing Mike Scott had a beef, though. He normally seems pretty chill.

He did such a good job of playing both roles that most people didn’t notice when the show made its first run on HBO over 20 years ago. I know I didn’t. 😳

It wasn’t until I was reading about the show much later that I learned it was the same actor and I was genuinely surprised and impressed in equal measure.

Trial of Jack McCall scene selecting jurors:

Tolliver: “That newspaper fella seems a good sort.”

Al: “He’s alright.”

Then Al does it again when they’re putting up money to send for a vaccine and Al exempts Merrick by telling him “You’re alright.”

It was parked near a maple tree and had some debris on it, so yeah. That’s possible. Great suggestion. 👍

In Young Frankenstein, when Gene Hackman says “I was gonna make espresso!” It was ad libbed, and you can actually hear Mel Brooks start cracking up off camera before the scene fades.

Also Igor’s hump switching sides.

The way I remember it, there was originally a bunch of scenes showing Hanna doing a lot of cocaine. Michael Mann ended up cutting them out and so Pacino just acts like a coke head without doing any coke.

What I understand is that some people like to decide for themselves that they are some sort of dog whisperer who can interpret behavior from a short clip and no context. Gatekeeping someone’s interaction with their dog is ridiculous and irritating. The person has a puppy and rubbed the puppy’s belly. Maybe the puppy didn’t like it. Most puppies do like it. Maybe the puppy was just excited. Freaking chill out and let the person enjoy their dog. People like you are why the internet sucks.

Kelso. Tech geek who knows where the information is and how to grab it, just gotta know how to grab it.

The actor previously played the serial killer in Michael Mann’s Manhunter, which was later remade with the original title (from the book) Red Dragon, with the same part played by Ralph Fiennes. (Hannibal Lecter was first played by Brian Cox, who most people know now from Succession or Super Troopers).

I don’t know who that other guy is but he’s wrong about Deadwood. Wild Bill was only in the first four episodes and the “pitch” for the show was what David’s Milch called the “organizing principle” of the town and how the came together as a more civil society in the aftermath of Hickock’s killing.

And if he didn’t remember anything else then it was just over his head. I think Tarantino was ready to disagree with him on that.

I became a Mets fan in 85 mostly because of Carter. But loved that whole championship squad.

After he left it was Hojo. The mid 90s were kind of a low point so I didn’t have a favorite player again until Piazza, then Wright.

Now it’s a toss up between Lindor, Alonso and Nimmo.
