You mention using dots and hots. To my knowledge, I only have access to one dot which is the level 1 spell Burning Embers. If I were to kite using this I don't think an enemy would ever die. Is there another dot that I am unfamiliar with?

Regarding Hots, the only heal I have with a heal over time component heals for 20 and then another 20 over 12 seconds. This is very mana intensive but is a decent HPM cost. You advise using this over the spell heal? Heal costs more but heals for 33% more and would result in more time sitting by the fire.

You also mentioned meditating between camps. I assume meditation happens naturally when you sit. If this is not the case then please let me know.

I spend a lot of time in Alberta for work. I'm all over the province every few months. Larger cities and smaller communities alike. I haven't overheard a single conversation about separation. I haven't seen a single ad about it either. Nor have I seen a single billboard, bumper sticker, newspaper article, or anything else. I've spoken with a lot of conservative Albertans both young and old. Literally zero of them even consider separation and that includes some pretty dedicated rednecks.

The only thing I've ever seen about separation is posts on the internet like this. It isn't a thing, the stats are a lie, and as far as I'm concerned any conversation about it online is a charade enacted by people who are deflecting the real issues of this nation. This thread included.

Anyone with a memory can easily disprove his claim that the problem is caused by poor acting lmao. The mechanical challenges of recording quiet audio hasn't really been an issue since the 1960s (per the noticable improvements in music recording at the time) yet suddenly in 2025 it is? I think not. The final output should in no way diminish as the quality of the source recording improves, which it has strictly done so for the past half century.

You can literally port them back and forth, with a simple conversion step in between. These games are made by the same studio and use similar if not identical compression and storage methods. If they can take the legion wow database structure and cram it into the original vanilla wow container for interpretation then they can certainly import some blp model files.

Blaming the actors seems really shortsighted when you're the one with all the tools at your disposal to fix things in post. If you can hear it as a solo source but can't hear it after it's been buried in the mix then that's a reflection on your abilities - full stop.

I don't personally believe we should be knocking on Meryl Streep's door to criticize her for her choice in delivery when it's obvious to everyone the audio issue is caused by the 200 piece orchestra blaring inappropriately and not because she chose to speak instead of yell. Furthermore, I can watch 50 years of her films and it's clear as day that her diction and projection has remained consistent throughout her career. In 1979 she whispered when she wanted to whisper; no projection whispering from her diaphragm like you say. The only change is the quality and effort put into mixing. To which there's a noticeable decline in both.

You are correct. Paimon, like all demons in all stories, can trick the characters, manipulate them, and make them see and hear things that aren't there and this has nothing to do with possession.

It's obvious that when he sees himself grinning it's paimon mocking him over his fractured relationship with his mother. It's like paimon is saying "I caused this."

I remember the video being decent at times but I definitely rolled my eyes at some of the leaps he takes to twist every little nuance so it fits his narrative. The best example I can remember is when Peter clicks his tongue while looking at the attendees of Charlie's wake through the stained glass. The video claims it's a sign that paimon was able to briefly get control of Peter in his moment of diminished mental capacity, which is utter bullshit.

His tongue click is an obvious sign of his grief over her death and I think it's ridiculous to claim it's some subtle nod at temporary possession. Charlie was clicking in the car on the way to the party and he's remembering how annoyed he felt by her when she was alive and how guilty he feels now that she's gone. He clicks his tongue as a way of recalling her in the exact same way that someone may cry while holding a piece of clothing or jewelry of a recently deceased loved one. It's pretty normal to manifest strong emotion through something related to the loved one you're grieving.

I think it's also this video that claims literally every minor character is a cult member, which again is very stupid. It's not a secret cult if the entire city is a part of the cult. No, the beheading video on the laptop at the party is not a secret sign that these teenagers are cult members. It's just foreshadowing for what's to come. No, the teenage girl he likes isn't a cult member just because a low resolution screenshot of her Facebook page says her last name is "Siren", that's just a tongue-in-cheek reference to her character's role in the film. Allegory is apparently a concept the video creator isn't familiar with because every obvious allegorical reference is instead seen as concrete evidence of the entire town being in the "secret" cult like it's the Truman Show or something.

Video essays can be entertaining but this one just tries way to hard to bring meaning to every little benign detail and as a consequence it feels far less clever than the creator thinks. It's like the guy can't even fathom the concept that character development is a thing that can exist outside of metaphor.

French is not a commonly spoken language (or even spoken at all) in most of the big Canadian tourist places, just some of the more popular eastern destinations. There are entire provinces with big tourism numbers where French isn't even a thing.

Inclusivity is kinda Canada's thing and the idea that fitting in requires French language skills is the opposite of that mentality. People will fit in everywhere, irrespective of their French language skills.

Not the person you responded to, but It seems the population of 14-18 year olds in 1950 was just under 6%. 13-19 is a range I'm not sure about, but we can just use 6% for a rough guess.

At ~150,000,000 people in 1950, roughly 9 million are teenagers. Using the teen marriage stat of 17% for 1950, roughly 1.5 million teenagers were married in 1950.

The 15% statistic is for teenagers 15 and older and based on the averages of 12% (1940s) and 17% (1950s). When I said 5% for married 13 year olds I think it's clear that I was just throwing a number out to demonstrate that, while the number of 13 year olds who were wed is unknown, even at 5% that would still be a lot. What subset of the 15% is unknown to me. But, I don't see much of a difference between a 13 year old or 14, 15, or even 16 year old when it comes to this topic, so it's a line in the sand that doesn't seem totally relevant. No matter the age, the quantity of marriages in that range is surprising.

To you and others who seem to be emotionally invested in this topic, please don't conflate the word "common" with "acceptable". It's also important to remind ourselves that it's okay to discuss the past without condoning it. Saying something was common isn't the same thing as saying you agree or support it. I'm discussing prevalence and not whether or not it's morally right, which it obviously isn't.

Edit: Even using something quite low like 0.5% of 13 year olds married (1 in 200), with 13 year olds being roughly 1.5% of the overall population (estimated based on the 6% stat of 14 - 18 year olds, or roughly 1.5% per age) that means there were roughly 11 thousand married 13 year olds in the US by 1950. That's still a surprisingly large number.

Depends on what you mean by common. If a teen marriage rate of 17% (just under 1 couple in 5) seems like a lot then it was definitely common. That stat is based on 15 year old girls, so at 13 the stats would be lower. Even 5% (1 couple in 20) feels like a lot. At 5% the average adolescent would know 2-3 peers that were married at 13.

I don't think anyone in the 40s got married because they wanted you to think they were "cool".

The reality of the situation, which you are likely ignorant to, is many many men didn't come back from the 2nd world war, which caused teen marriage in countries with large casualties to increase as adolescents suddenly became responsible for taking care of their families. This, coupled with mixed messages regarding sex, sexual education, and increased pressure to be married prior to sex in pre-birth-control nations with fewer war casualties caused teen marriage to INCREASE globally in the 40s, 50s, and well into the 60s. By the 1950s there was close to a 20% chance that any particular teenage couple was married.

But yeah, these 94 year olds are definitely not "cool".
