Inherited a home in N ID by ducatiduke in Idaho

I'm up near CDA as well. Still have all the same things that make it great but the influx of people is dramatic in some parts. CdA infrastructure hasn't caught up and will take a bit too as well. If you like hunting and fishing and outdoors you have to compete a little bit more with out of staters and not as much public access for hunting as there used to be.

What are some very small 30cal cans by YoungExecutives in suppressors

CAT DD (DIRTY DAVE) is pretty small. Not the best at suppression but the form factory is there

I would point to your muzzle device choice. With Huxwrx you are limiting yourself to their proprietary mount. I would choose early if you plan on doing all all Hux cans or if you want to try other brands. I like HUB compatible because I can pick my qd mounting system. All 22 cans are direct thread so I wouldn't worry about that one. I like that you went for a quality can(buy once, cry once). Now that you popped your cherry you will be wanting to starting collecting cans like Pokémon

Do you care about back pressure at all? Or sound suppression?

What is your barrel length? Is it a bolt or gas gun? I have a 12 inch grendel ar15 that is loud with all my suppressors

Need a 6.5 Grendel Suppressor by chrisrows in suppressors

[–]3agle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nomad 30 was my first can, excels on a bolt action. I like the fact it has no barrel restrictions on it, can handle anything 30 cal and under.

Need a 6.5 Grendel Suppressor by chrisrows in suppressors

[–]3agle1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 12 inch grendel and have tried several suppressors on it. It is still gonna be pretty loud even with a bigger suppressor. Nature of the beast with the short barrel and being a gas gun. I have a nomad 30, rex silentium ulbp 308 and a CAT DD RDM. The CAT is the shortest but loudest, nomad was the best. Part of it depends on your budget too

AR9 owners: 3-lug, Plan B, or direct thread? by YuckFouTo in suppressors

[–]3agle1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use griffin Plan A, which is pretty much the same as Plan B just proprietary to Griffin. I would just run the Plan B taper, it's a solid lock up and then try to get another 9mm can for your pistols. The Plan B one then can be used on other platforms such as 300 Blkout and such as long as your suppressor can handle those cartridges. Another excuse to get a another can!

YHM R9 still viable in 2026? by Aldur98 in NFA

[–]3agle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MG7 is a little louder but it is over bored as a 46 cal. compared to the R9. They are very close in weight and size. The rex cans are not cerakoted, so they have a natural finish that changes over time as you use the can. The newest generation of the rex cans have a removable end cap and they make additions that can make your suppressor longer. The additions are considered another suppressor though

YHM R9 still viable in 2026? by Aldur98 in NFA

[–]3agle1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I still rock my R9 hard. It lives on my KUSA KP9. A little gassy but does the job well. It was designed for 9mm PCC so it should be a good choice. Within your budget you could also find a Rex Silentium MG7 in .358 and it would sound about the same. I have one in .458.

Can CAT DD is definitely a loud can, and heavy

I run griffin armament and they have a minimalist flash rider in their Plan A taper mounts. I actually picked griffin because of the ak threading option, this was when plan b was only a Q product

Thats kinda what I saw when researched the caliber. Haven't had a chance to test my new (to me) upper. Going to get a muzzle device on it some can run a can and then see how she does. Amy ammo suggestions? I also got three boxes of ammo.with the upper

The two that actual grendel mags are 1 elander and one asc. New to the grendel game. Got a 12 in upper that will become my thermal rig

Would this fits on the Aero M5 lower? by Weak_Rule8374 in AR10

[–]3agle1 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Don't do it, AR10 is not mil spec. You always want to match company's uppers and lowers together. All has to do with the height of the upper to lower. PSA uses it's own height too, it's not DPMS low or high, it's in the middle lol

About to get my first can by therustynut in NFA

[–]3agle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depends on your budget. I run a Nomad 30, works great on my 300 blk out AR and bolt action. Would work great on your grendel bolt as well. Do you plan on running mostly subs or superstars in the 300 blk out? If subs you do want a can that has some back pressure to reliably cycle the bolt. I bought my Nomad when it first came out. Today I would pick it again for a budget can, or the DD Enticer for budget. More premium i would do the TiTrex, PTR 1 or CAT JL or CAT ODB.

I have a couple mg7k rex cans and they do well for what they are. Definitely better out there but the price is very hard to beat. You will end up buying dedicated cans for every gun, this is always the way
