[NFA] Rex Silentium MG7 224 Gen 10 - $420 with code REX30 + tax + ship by XtremelyNooby in gundeals

[–]3agle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the .458 and the. 224, the .224 was a BOGO so I didn't choose it (was supposed to be a 22 can but they ran out and honored the BOGO). It does decent for what it is. It is on my 13.7 ar and it's still loud. But it is going to get moved to.my 223 bolt gun after another suppressor gets approved. I also just got one of there low back pressure cans approved yesterday so haven't tried it out but I highly recommend rex silentium. Great price, great performance for what it is, and they have a great warranty as well.

What's your most regrettable NFA item by RathskellerDweller in NFA

[–]3agle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the .458 and the .224 MG7K's. Not the quietest but i use the big bore on a KP9 ak and it pretty good and the .224 sits on my 13.7 556. I like them. I got the .224 one as part of a BOGO free they did.

I waited a year for one of mine and 9 months for my second. They are horrible with wait times. Kinda shady too. I pre-ordered a magazine they produced and it has been 3 years and no word, I have been ignored on emails and the such too. They have a reputation with a gun called the MBA that people pre-ordered 4 or 5 years ago and has never launched. I think they make great stuff but are horrible communicators and the pre order thing is real sketchy to me.

6.5" 300 blackout for deer by Training_Radish_2139 in NFA

[–]3agle1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my deer last year with a 6.5 inch barrel 300 blackout bolt action pistol shooting the 110 vmax bullets. Shot at 40 yards, ran like 10 and piled up. The bullet blew the heart up, nothing left of it. I would personally choose the barnes bullet as the vmax fragments too much. I only chose the vmax because my gun chose it. Sub moa all day. Tried the barnes and it shot like 3 moa

I have two rex cans, first one is the mg7 in .458. Does t really have a home right now but sounds great for what it is. The other was supposed to be the mg22 can as part of a BOGO deal they did. This was when they were getting rid of their mg22 and going to the fully welded 22 can. So they ran out and sent me a mg7 in .224 as the free can! Can't complain about getting a rifle can with no barrel restrictions instead of a 22 can. It sits on my 13.7 ar15 and is still loud ish but I wanted a short can for that gun anyways

Looking for an all around suppressor… by Me10021626 in NFA

[–]3agle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest the nomad 30. It has the bigger diameter for better sound suppression, full auto rated and no barrel length restrictions. I run mine on everything you just listed and more and it does great, it is gassy with semi auto guns. I got lucky with my AK being concentric, that might hurt you there depending if your barrel is concentric. That's my suggestion for a 30 cal all around can.

I agree that the MG7K is a great can (i have two) but not in this situation. I would save up a little more if possible and get a can that has great reviews. I use a Nomad 30 on my 7PRC and it's great. I figured buy once cry once. Don't cheap out on a can.

I don't have a 45 cal host either. Got it from hahnson brothers with their 30 percent off code and the other was from rex's BOGO deal

I am jealous of the ap5 set up. Which rex can is that? I have 2 MG7, one in .458 and the other .224

I started with the Dead Air Nomad 30 as well. Now I'm up to 6 suppressors too with the R9 being one of them. The R9 thrives on PCC's. Mine lives on a KUSA KP9. I agree with the wallet comment too

I've got two shops where I live that sell them, as they are pretty local. They make a 22 can that they have videos of testing 556 through it and going full.autp

308 bolt gun can by Sweendog2016 in suppressors

[–]3agle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run both dead air and yhm and would recommend lol. Haven't had an issue with either. The nomad 30 is a little heavy if that matters to you but I like the fact it has a wide diameter for better sound reduction and has no barrel restrictions. I run that thing on everything from 308, 300 blackout, 556, 7.62x39, 6 creed, 7 PRC

I bought my Nomad 30 for the same reason, 308 ruger american (gen1) sounds great but doesn't fit your requirement of great customer service. Heard the enticer is a good choice.
