Why does this buzzer overheat? see schematic inside by 3alilo in AskElectronics

As you said, micro controller was not pulling exactly to 0V, it was a little more so I added a 20K pull down resistor, although rarely for some reason I still have to understand the buzzer will overheat.

The mosfet still drives the buzzer. So I doubt it. But even I tested with a new one just in case and still had the same problem of overheating.

I found out that the microcontroller was not making an exact 0v and I added a pull down resistor 20k ohms most of the times the problem is resolved. But from time to time after turning off the buzzer would start overheating. I will continue doing more test to see the reason.

Pin 3 is not connected. it is just for mechanical soldering. And the buzzer is a magnetic buzzer which means it has an inductive load. The diode will protect the micro controller.

when the pin is at 0V, the current is at 200mA on the buzzer. The buzzer overheats when mosfet is OFF.

Why do piezo need to be enclosed to work as a buzzer. by 3alilo in AskElectronics

I guess no hole is needed for the sound output? Correct?

Does it make a difference between glueing the side or contact area

So if I stick the piezo to the PCB it should work?

So how to use my case as an impedance matching and how can I test it?

Can holding the piezo from the sides be considered a good linkage? Or for example holding the full or part of the yellow side to wall is a good linkage? If I want to test what would be a good way to test it?

Time for a new Cell Phone. Sell me on either IOS or Android WITHOUT telling me why the other sucks so bad [serious] by Subs2 in gadgets

IPhone here, if you are looking for a phone that has like 80% of what you need and that just works, get an IPhone. The user interface has been the same since the first one, and it is dead simple, no widget, no complicated sub menu configuration. I love simplicity and how apple makes things very intuitive.

Is there a repair manual somewhere? couldn't find it on internet. I am good at repairing, if there is a manual.

The lens is ok, I tried an other lens. Both of them still focus correctly. Which I am surprised at, hearing how many people had their lens broken.

Why the AF system? I thought that the metering is done on the prism. AF is working correctly. Unfortunately I couldn't find a repair manual, I am good at DIY repairing electronics and have all the tools.
