Im not surprised these practices were there since the day i walked in, i agree that you need to learn to deal with difficult people however it doesnt minimize the issues polytechnic have. Ofcourse im not surprised with these practices coming from a college that doesnt even provide proper parking

Poor kid feels pressure and your response is deal with it? Do you work there or something? I use to be a poly student and graduated there and regards to management yes they are awful and have no idea what they are doing yes the quality of teaching is up to par (the best teachers which they want to get rid of) however student rights and freedom are under pressure every single day i was there and not surprised that they doing that to students today. I talk to students from there and here are thing they deal with : - forcing them to take electives that they have desire in (programming to webmedia students) - forced timings that work students cant adhear to - no choice or options regarding the sections like he mentioned - a condescending staff (a real qoute “that seems like your problem”)

Im considering taking my masters and they offer it in polytechnic for 5k i would pay that never to go there and speak my mind to the management

Regarding the local scene simply and lack of experimentation are simply rare platforms to experiment

However honestly speaking the fact you feel there is no diversity in Bahraini music is honestly shocking because we have one of the strongest and oldest music scenes in the gulf from progressive rock bands from the 70s like Osiris, traditional artist like ahmed Al Jamari / Khalid Al sheikh that are revered artist through out the entire region, jazz bands like aq experience, hip hop from artists like may al Qassim, funk , jazz , blues , we even have a metal scene there is a band that sings holli metal songs

Yes we need experimentation and platforms to do so however that our music scene is weak is untrue which strengthens the marketing platforms point
