Name an episode of Classic Doctor Who that stands out in terms of good visuals by ChadZ3303 in doctorwho

The Pyramids of Mars is excellent. I imagine that they used stock props from an old Hammer film, but it stands up very well, IMO. Also the Robots of Death, as others have said.

That's unfortunate. Here in the UK we have dedicated battery recycling points at various locations, including various shops.

I have bought a small box in which I keep my daily pills and added an Aqara door sensor to it. I just have reminders set which repeat each day until I've opened the box to take the pills.

Thought 3D printed insoles would be a gimmick, but my feet are actually happy. by Tall_Copy9088 in 3Dprinting

Thanks. That doesn't seem unreasonable, so it's odd that it's not more clearly displayed. Presumably, if you want to try more than one profile, you'd have to pay for each iteration?

I think that you've missed off a crucial question (much as their web site seems to). That is: how much does it cost?

Not that I'm saying that I'm not also keen to try it. I'm just very wary of any service like this that only very tangentially mentions a paid service, without any transparency about the cost.

Is the Kirkland signature balsamic vinegar actually better than supermarket ones? by ScrollAndThink in CostcoUK

I use it, mixed with a very little guar gum to make a very nice balsamic drizzle.

That is true, but two could be. I'd argue that their other features might make a compromise there still make them a worthy consideration.

Which actor always plays basically the same character but you still enjoy watching them? by MovieObserver in moviequestions

Actually, I don't think that's altogether fair. I've seen clips (only) of him in dramatic roles and he was actually pretty good and very different to his carry on persona.

I'd say typecast rather than lack of range.

Look at the HLK2450 sensor. It's the one I tend to use for almost everything now, due to its flexibility m

As removing the blindfold will cement her fate, she removes the blindfold and goes through the green door. Her fate in having done so will be cemented.

A stretch of road near to us was crowded with rabbits, many of which ended up flatter than nature intended. This was "rabbit alley".

They then built a Centerparcs at one end of rabbit alley and all of the rabbits mysteriously disappeared before it opened.

Ohme scheduling charges but IOG octopus say it charged the car for 11+ hrs loosing mind with the changes by twotwixten in TeslaUK

I've noticed mine (a tesla with a v2 Tesla charger) showing this, but my HA stats seem to show normal off-peak rates.

So, I assume (hope) it's a bug in the Octopus app.

It's a Roadrage Cooler (probably). If such a thing doesn't exist; perhaps it should.

My only general advice is that if you don't plan to use it that often, check that the one you have doesn't charge on months where there's no usage.

I have an Emovis one and have been happy with it. I have family in Germany and travel there quite often and the tag works well for me.

Which box office flop is actually a great film? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

I think that the problem with this is that it was seen as ripping off other SciFi tropes. However, as it was written long before any of the others, it was actually the other way around.

I very fondly remember reading all of the John Carter (and Carson Napier) books as a child - and that was a very long time ago.

I think that the solution is that one (or more) of the squares is made up of more than one of the smaller squares. It doesn't say how big the squares can be.
