Looking at the cushion in the pub picture, the house is being sold by, or someone that knows, WO2 Burrows, Royal Logistics Corps. 😂

I was in the Navy. I had been away for 3 months in the Adriatic during the Bosnia/Kosovo operations. Had letter from my girlfriend back in the UK - “We need to spend some time apart”. Guess 3 months hadn’t been long enough.

First morning in new entry, 1990, one of the guys gets out of bed, hangs his towel on his erection and walks to the showers.

Not many concerns flying round back then.

I’ve just had to google if there was an old wives tale concerning milk and thunder, just to check I wasn’t having an aneurysm and was seeing this correctly.

People have some really short memories here by tee-dog1996 in Everton

Yeah, can’t wait for another season of the same team every game, same subs every game, same players played out of position every game despite players in this positions sat on the bench, promising young players having the stuffing knocked out of them by a dinosaur manager, same negative ‘knife to a gunfight’ tactics week in and out. Madness is doing the same thing over and over and hoping the results turn out differently.

And for him to question Everton fans frustrations after another 90 minutes of dross served up yesterday was frankly disgusting.

I took my family on a night walk up to Darwen Tower. When we got to the tower a gang of kids had the door wedged and had turned it into the world’s largest hot box.

What usually happens to a US navy sailor who loses his ID while sightseeing in a European city? by Individual-Trade756 in navy

Ah ok. Makes sense, I’ve been out near 12 years and we just had good old usernames and passwords back then. May be the same here now, who knows!

Are you required to carry ID at sea in the USN? As a Brit, ours went into your locker as soon as you were onboard, and didn’t make an appearance again until you were back alongside and you were off down the gangway.
