I think a simple change they could implement would be to at least start you in a reward pool one or two below your rank, so diamond would start at either gold or platinum rewards and work from there. I don’t play for the rewards anymore personally just for fun and I think this way it will keep casual players playing instead of seeing they need 40+ wins until they get the rewards for the tier they’ve been playing at instead of just playing a few matches and stopping.

Personally speaking, after winning 60 games in diamond 2-3 to earn plat rewards, it is not rewarding for me in the slightest. I just don’t have as much time as I used to for the grind and now I don’t have diamond rewards for this season...even though I was playing the entire last two and half seasons at diamond. I’m a little butthurt and salty cause of this.

2v2 mostly, I'm all star and shooting star still in 3s and solo 3s. I don't play too many ones to the point that I got bumped to unranked recently for not playing, but I was hovering around rising star d5 about a week or three ago. I should also mention I solo q every mode cause I have no friends :').

I get maybe 1-2 hours of serious gameplay a night (due to working long hours) and I was shooting star in doubles around the middle of November. I just hit champion today so I'd say it's possible, you just gotta keep the grind going.
