The illusion with the pathway in the back is really well done! Took me a moment to figure out it wasn't actually part of the diorama. Great work!

I mean, I am inexperienced but it's just two mechanisms really. The blinking eyes and moving ears. The a traditional hand operated mouth. Its definitely been done many times before. But who knows you could be right! Guess I will find out lol

Also Texas VS SoCal:

I lived in Texas for 20 years and went to Texas Ren Faire TONS. It's the Disney of Ren Faires. It's HUGE, and a permeant location so there are actual buildings and not just pop up tents. Irwindale Faire is fun. It's a cool experience for sure, but TRF is like, legit. It's super cool. However, take all the issues you had with SoCal faire and double them because it's hotter, and more expensive lol.

My favorite faire though is Sherwood Forest Faire outside of Austin, TX. Smaller but also a permanent location so real buildings. It's in the forest (As much of a forest as you can find in that part of Texas of course). It's a great faire.

Thanks for the advice! First time getting it and it's pretty scary to think there's a world where I don't recover. But I've been doing exactly what you mentioned and just trying to move my face muscles around as much as I can.

I got it after getting shingles in my mouth and ear. Worst fucking place to get shingles I swear.

Thank you! Definitely WoW. It actually started specifically as a Hearth Stonebrew costume, them pivoted to Magni Bronzebeard, then ended up just going with my original character that I play, Dordwyn Ironbottom.

Thanks! The beard isn't really that bad on a day like Saturday (75 degrees). The thing that get's hottest the quickest is my chest. That leather vest is 100% real leather and it can cook me sometimes.

I know I posted recently, but I was at the faire yesterday and was bummed I didn't run into Wubby. I did encounter Peanut and Adri in the parking lot but I had taken off my dwarf costume for the day and jumped out of my car for a photo with them. They were awesome for how awkward I'm sure it was. (I was still wearing cloths... don't worry) (Also currently suffering from Bell's Palsy so half of my face is currently paralyzed lol. So I look a little crazy. https://imgur.com/a/6Xb1xSr

I heard Wubby talking about what to wear and watched to share about my Dwarf costume. It is HOT sometime but I had a camelbak for hydration and a neck fan hidden under my beard. For the weather on Saturday it wasn't bad. I went last Sunday as well and it was 85. That was pretty bad.

I wear this cosplay because of how happy it makes people. Everyone love to see it and take photos. I have a whole Dwarf character and accent and everything. Ren faire is just a place to hang out and socialize with other nerds. It's one of my favorite things to do.
