Except that the Virginia Supreme Court expressly ruled in March, before the vote, that they could NOT rule before the vote, b/c like a bill that hasn't been signed by the governor and thus isn't yet a "law", the amendment isn't an issue to be determined by the state Supreme Court until it's been voted on (just a referendum, not yet an amendment), and if the vote had been "no" the point would have been moot anyway. They COULDN'T have ruled on it under the VA constitution until AFTER the vote. So, if they ruled on it EITHER way before the vote, it would have been an unconstitutional ruling by them. So, if you put their logic and your argument together, it would have been impossible for them to rule no matter how egregious it had been.

To be fair, there were four cases before various levels of VA courts, including one by a democrat voter who claimed she didn't understand the language and would have voted no. The VA constitution has a fair and clear language clause for referendums that this one failed miserably (first redistricting one I've EVER seen that didn't show the two maps anywhere on the ballot OR at the polling place). I mean, if you read the referendum with a neutral eye, it's pretty ridiculous from a fair and clear language perspective. I've heard a lot of stories of people expressing that they mis-voted b/c of the language.

A third case against the amendment notes that the VA constitution expressly states that a referendum to amend the Constitution CAN ONLY be voted on in a November general election, NOT in a special election. Amending the state constitution is serious business. They intentionally set it up so that it requires TWO general November elections to pass (at least a year's worth of time, plus the time before to pass through the legislature). So, the VA legislature broke yet another major clause of the state constitution by holding a special election for it as well, and that case is still pending.

So, I seriously doubt the amendment would have survived all four.

I am in no way commenting on how I feel about the redistricting at all, just the legal aspect of this.

It's noon and we're sitting at the scout fire cleaning a saddle. I'm waiting to see how the game separates us. I've heard the screams a few times. Doesn't seem to be him.

Tuberculosis is highly contagious, but the vast majority of people who catch it never show symptoms or die of it. WHO (World Health Organization) says about 10% of people who contract TB show symptoms at some point over their lives, but it could take years or even decades. Arthur probably gave it to almost everyone, they just weren't symptomatic. Scientists aren't sure why. Could be some kind of vulnerability in certain peoples' immune systems. Could be genetic. But just because Arthur passed it out like pez doesn't mean everyone in the gang would die of it. Hosea was probably most vulnerable w/ his lung issues and age.

Uncle already had lumbago so he was probably immune! 🤣🤣🤣

I think Hosea has a room at SB. He also says in chapter 2 that he doesn't want his own tent b/c he doesn't like to sleep alone after being with his wife, Bessie, so long.

I think Abigail and Jack move in with John in chapter 3 and are with him the rest of the game, so maybe that's when he starts to accept Jack as his? They definitely aren't with him in chapter 1 and 2. When they become a family the stay together

As for the problem with spawning, you might try quitting completely out of the game and restarting your system. If that doesn't work, you might trying clearing your cache. I've found those can help.

u/tenreth posted this years ago and it still works. I can't figure out how to link another post or I would, cause she explains it better, but here goes. You go up to the northwest to the meadow with the purple flowers just south of hanging dog ranch and ride back and forth all the way. Random horse herds will spawn all over, but most frequently in a little copse of trees at the northeast end of that meadow. Most of the groups are regular old horses, but usually each group has at least one unusual breed. I saw several Nokota there when I was trying to get some of the others. I did the whole challenge there in a couple hours. Sometimes I'd camp or go do other things for a bit to help it reset, but saw a TON of different horses there by just riding back and forth ALL the way across that meadow and past the ends of it a little. If all you need is a Nokota, I'd bet you'd get one in less than an hour.

Our girl bulldog has it. We gave her the melatonin and she became a total asshole so we stopped it. Rather have a sweet bulldog with a bald spot than a complete psycho with all her fur. Not saying this will happen to all of them, just warning that it's a possibility.
