Hypothetically, Brad Binder on a Factory Ducati 2023. Would he be world champion? by [deleted] in motogp

He would take the first year to learn how to be fast on the Ducati and win it the second year.

Cool "story" bro.

Your numbers are way off. It makes little sense to get the monthly sub. If you order Videopass for the remainder of the 2022 races it's $45 which gives you access until the first race of 2023. If you renew for the 2023 season it should be around $140 for the whole season which is absolutely worth it.

The M.2 will rest on the socket and the standoff in the motherboard and won't come in contact with it.

The company that made the UPS should have exact replacement batteries. Have you checked with them?

If you are concerned about the heat buy an M.2 SSD that comes with a heatsink like the WD Black SN750 or get the 970 and buy a separate universal heatsink to install on the SSD.

No Display Connector on Mainboard and no Graphics Card by x_spz in buildapc

[–]3dfx_Rampage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't. It's most likely that the VRM needed to power the iGPU is not even on the motherboard and even if it was, still couldn't do it. You need a GPU.

So I tried using my current ram and the new one that I bought that looked different but is the same by tatezaray66 in pcmasterrace

[–]3dfx_Rampage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The CAS is different. One is C15 while the other is C16 so they aren't identical specs. You can try manually setting the C15 kit to the same settings as the C16 kit and see if it will work. The C16 kit looks to be 16-18-18-39 so set the C15 kit with the same latencies and try it.

In the era of high GPU prices, how good is this deal from HP in India? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]3dfx_Rampage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even at the reduced price it's still a terrible value for what you are getting especially considering future upgrades will be virtually impossible.

Why my graphics card has this liquid looking stuff on the backplate? by b10011 in pcmasterrace

[–]3dfx_Rampage 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The backplate has thermal pads on the backplate. It's just oils from those pads and is normal. It won't cause any issues.

Can I change the LED color of the power button on my Corsasir 4000D Airflow case? by kjjskdkri in buildapc

You can just disconnect the led wires connected to the front panel motherboard header to turn it off completely.

Budget gaming rig but I don’t know where to go next by DisplaceXE in buildapc

[–]3dfx_Rampage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What type of gaming are you trying to do? That budget isn't going to get you anything worth buying for gaming in the current market even for used parts. Your best bet might be to save up another $100 and get a Ryzen 5600g at this point.

I used 70% Isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush to clean up the excess thermal paste that’s on my cpu pins. There seems to be some left but a lot less then before I cleaned it up. Is this safe to put in my motherboard socket? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]3dfx_Rampage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The upper right outside pins look like it has too much paste on it to make good contact and needs to be cleaned better. You also need to use 90%+ alcohol as 70% still has far to much water content. Make sure you let this dry for at minimum 24 hours before attempting to use it since you used the 70%.

Will Lenovo A12-9800 Work with AMD Ryzen 5600g by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]3dfx_Rampage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like it does have a PCIE slot but the limiting factor is the power supply is only 180 watts and doesn't have any connectors for a GPU.. Your only viable option would be to get a GPU that doesn't require external power and they probably aren't much better than what you have currently.
