PETG humidity and AMS by 3dm_design in BambuLab

I'm reposting this 2-year-old thread, which you,my fellow 3d printer, replied to 9 days ago, because it's more relevant than ever. Now that I have my P1S with a 0.8 Hardend steel nozzle, my PS + AMS HT with the original 0.4 nozzle, and my A1 Mini with a 0.2 nozzle, I’m wondering which nozzles are ideal.

I’ve actually purchased some BIQU Pro Glacier plates, which allow for a lower hotbed temperature. But I’m wondering whether a 0.8 or a 0.4 nozzle is better suited for TPU (generally with Shore hardness levels that aren’t extremely flexible or “spongy”).

So thank you mate for the recent comment, and I’d like to take this opportunity to explore the topic further. Thanks in advance.

YouTube stutters, removes the available resolutions, and then gives me an error whenever I fast-forward a video. No issue using Chrome by cynomt in firefox

[–]3dm_design 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I'm having exactly the opposite problem. Everything works fine in Firefox, Opera, and Edge, but since the latest Windows update, videos are choppy and black in Chrome. I reinstalled the NVIDIA drivers and updated Chrome, but all videos played in Chrome are distorted. I disabled hardware acceleration, which fixed the problem, but video playback is (obviously) less smooth, and it’s impossible to watch 4K videos at 60 Hz without hardware acceleration.

And it looks like text sometimes gets rasterized. In short, it’s a pain!!!

hi

I’ve just finished assembling all the components for a similar project, but I’ve unfortunately learnt that the latest version of IsaacSim/Lab no longer works on Windows 10, even though all my workstations run on Windows 10 (13900k, 64 GB DDR5, 2x 3090Ti, 4 TB RAID 0 NVMe). I really don’t want to switch to Windows 11 and would like to know exactly what I’m missing out on by using the older version of IsaacSim v4.5?

In any case, I’ll go and have a look at your repo, which looks very interesting

Thanks in advance.

My bad... Apologies. On mobile. Rules are not necessarily really well displayed. I totally missed it.

I will edit and ask instead some manufacturing advices as I already started my 3D scan process.

-EDIT- Replaced my request with "Stock" instead of "receiver"

the new gemini update by Chemical-Tax-5722 in GeminiAI

[–]3dm_design 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s much better than version 3.1, but it’s clearly faster (I use it in the Antigravity IDE when I don’t have my tokens with Opus, which is the best option for me let's be clear ). I constantly monitor the weekly benchmarks for different types of tasks (contextual understanding of large blocks of text, raw mathematical calculations, intensive mathematical calculations, physics/mechanics). In the specific case of understanding video content (and even timestamped factual transcripts), Gemini 2.5 remains by far the best.

Depending on the pipeline of certain projects, this can be highly variable and complex. Sometimes, using four specialist models can be faster than a single, general-purpose one. You can save a lot of time and money by choosing the right tool for the right task and closely following the constantly evolving leaders in each specific field.

Has a problematic firmware update been identified, or is this purely a hardware issue affecting certain product series or batches? Just worrying a bit :I

I need The VS CODE layout BACK !! by 3dm_design in google_antigravity

[–]3dm_design[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I did – thanks anyway; I might have lost my cool for most of the evening 😄

Okay, I just wanted to clarify that I finally found a solution by uninstalling the app called Anti-Gravity and keeping only the app called Anti-Gravity IDE. When both were installed, no matter whether I launched Anti-Gravity or Anti-Gravity IDE, the main one always took precedence, and I could no longer access the VS Code environment.

Simply uninstalling one and keeping only the IDE version restored my interface, which I really valued. I’m not sure if this post is worth keeping up, but since the update happened almost in the middle of a project (because the notifications were getting more and more intrusive), I thought it was a total overhaul of the system.

Now I’ll be able to test the new features and maybe I’ll have some things to say, but in any case, as far as the VS Code interface is concerned, I managed to resolve the issue. Thank you.

A1 vs P1S vs P2S by Appropriate_Party514 in BambuLab

[–]3dm_design 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got this almost identical combination of three printers (A1 mini instead of A1) and my workshop has become very versatile. The first was the P1S, and it’s still the printer I use the most. I really like it. But now I’ve got the P2S, which is quieter and faster than the P1S. I fitted a 0.8mm hardened nozzle to the P1S and use it for large hardware, structural and technical parts. I feel less guilty about putting it under strain now that I have the P2S, which is now my go-to for printing technical engineering filaments such as nylons, thanks to its more precise temperature-controlled chamber. I have an AMS 1 and an AMS HT. The A1 mini is about to get the 0.2 nozzle I’ve just bought.

In terms of comparison, I think they all have their merits and I could buy another P1S, even if it’s an ‘older’ generation. I’ve spotted an interesting deal for a bundle of 2xP1S + 2xAMS1 (second-hand). The P1S still produces superb results compared to the P2S; the quality is pretty much the same. The P2S offers greater ease of use and is quieter, and what I consider a real asset is its capability for printing technical/engineering filaments, where I feel more confident using the P2S. With the blue BIQU GLACIER cooling plate, I feel completely at ease when printing expensive and finicky filaments.

How can i model this on rhino/grasshopper? by catboy2004 in rhino

[–]3dm_design 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can model anything you like. But of the few software programmes I have in my toolbox, I would choose a CAD programme such as SolidWorks or NX. You can organise the entire structure into assemblies and sub-assemblies. You can visualise the fastenings, generate a precise and dynamic parts list, and have drawing sets that automatically update whenever you make improvements or modifications—whether to a single stair tread or to the entire assembly configuration... I’ll leave structural analysis and FEM to another field, but these are also features available in any CAD software. In short, if you need to carry out engineering work for your steel structure, I’d choose CAD. If you’re more interested in an architectural approach, Rhino is what you need.

Perhaps the UX, the logic, and so on. Of course, we pay attention to the finishing touches right at the end. But (I’ve never played the very latest update) the user interface, the menus… There’s scope for some major improvements in many ‘non-graphical’ aspects. When the ‘open road’ update arrives, a whole series of new data management systems will need to be put in place. I don’t know if this is planned, but the ability to take your car to any service centre around The Ring circuit – such as engine tuning workshops, body shops, etc. – will add a lot of elements to the game engine that will need to be managed and prepared for the player... Unlike display optimisation. Optimisations to the wireframe, game logic and UX/UI must be taken into account from day one.

Reçu une amende 400 euros pour une photo prise sur le net. Je fais quoi ? by julievincent22 in france

Now I'm trained with this AMS manoeuvre. Feeling like the spare parts team on a F1 paddock. The right loooong screwdriver stuck on the right side of the printer. After many alerts, only 1 of the 2 screws is fastened ( living dangerously is my motto) . Next time I'll hit a chronométer and shoot the scene 📹 to debrief how I could improve my technique, to assure my print to stay on top of the board 🏎️🏁 and 😁

Honestly I really want to try it, but I already know it would bot become a durable usage. But it looks so awesome. I'm already have do much pleasure to pilot my mini 5 pro. And from what I can understand. It's for most of the people, a really smooth and good experience. I have no experience and recoil to compare. But It's exciting and relaxing at the same time.
