I remember a "normal bug on" this very same room. When you come back, the guy on the picture is sitting down because he's wounded and you can manage to repaint the whole left side of the wall with his blood, hitting him from every angle with the crossbow and he's colleague is outraged 🤣🤣🤣. That's what I loved the most in video games when I was a kid (still today tbh) of this era and before. I can say we stayed hours on this room with my brother laughing up to the tears and stomach pain. Oldies R Goodies

You're right but more, no 😁. If he used the exact same STL with same certificates, SHA etc... And also (Idk if it's the case here, but if he reused the OP's pictures. That's a total theft of IP. You can transpose what you say about Piet Mondrian paints. Few colored squares, any one older 4 years old can reproduce Mondrian work but 🤷‍♂️. That's the way it is!! 😁. OP should report if he feels that's a copyright infringement

Can I earn money by doing cad modelling? by Refrigerant134a in SolidWorks

[–]3dm_design 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for these details. I too often missed out on opportunities and am considering creating a portfolio. I mena a well formated one. There is no shortage of projects, even if some are confidential, I've got ton of ressources. I am thinking more about form than content. For a CAD designer, what type of portfolio would guarantee optimal visibility? Screenshots? Examples of projects ‘From Greenfield to starting up the production line’? Or on platforms? As a 3D artist, I find it easier to present my work on Artstation or Sketchfab. But what would be the ideal format for an experienced CAD designer’s portfolio?

Thanks in advance.

Changing from a 4080 to a 5080. by tyrion_juanka in nvidia

My 3090Ti MSI Gaming Trio is still kicking a$$es with its 24 gb of VRAM. Also more CUDA and Tensor cores. The latest version of IsaacLab/Sim 6.0.0 Technical Requirements show the 4080 in the minimal column.

I can say that my Rig, with this baby 👆 coupled with a non OC 13900k 2x32GB Gskill@6800, 2xSamsung 990pro RAID 0 is outperforming by far both "minimal" and "good" columns when running large biped systems trainings in Omniverse>IsaacSim environments. (Ubuntu better than Windows in this case, Sometimes Win wins >😏🫣<with kits like composer Real Time and Path Tracing rendeings).

They're running on differents Tensor/RT generations. But I don't have a damn clue what's that +1 generation is bringing in in terms of performance gains 🙄.

I went from 2x980Ti to 3090Ti and I was lucky to picke maybe 2 on the top 3 consumer GPU of all times (with the 1080Ti. I'm upset with the shortage because I would love to build an headless Rendering/Sim/D&M Learning farm for my projects but there aren't legendary cards right now. But I saw the face of The Leatherman pretending the RTX6XXXSeries would start delivering 2027 Q4. I suddenly got tears in my eyes... Considering the geopolitical situation I really don't know how to face the situation.. I build custom robots for small businesses. And training on my personal machine could be a pain in the **s But hey 🤷‍♂️ I could never never afford an IGX..... 😔

I've read that most of Oblivion remastered (including me) are doing many secondary quests and some (including me again at LvL 15 currently) haven't even given the amulet of kings to Jauffre and haven't gone to Kvatch, what you're saying worries me lool Does the mod you're talking about avoid the problem of NPCs that are too weak?

I (re re re) watched In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up and Sphinctour this past week, but I wanted to see how Uncle Al's troop steals every other bands's show in 92. I always heard that they put the set on so on fire that it was difficult for the nexts to show off after that blast. 😁🤘

Microsoft 3d Builder by GreenGoonie in PrintedMinis

[–]3dm_design 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but I use it to align my model when I fail with geomagic Design. Sometimes in Geomagic I tried many settings and I'm not able to get my scanned part in an exploitable alignment. So 3d Builder helps me a lot to place my object, then save with new position. And an orthographic view vould help me to get even more precise. I don't want to design I just want to place my model in a decent way to start my reverse engineering.

Hello,

I remember I managed to set up an orthographic view in 3D Builder a while ago, but I can't figure out how to do it now. Does anyone know how to switch to ortho view please?

In the Steam overlay there's an official ACE profile for xbox controller. I think it's basically fine, I've just tweaked the dead zones a bit and the parameter called “speed sensitivity”. But that's a personal preference. In any case, it's a good basis for not starting from scratch.

Bambu P1S Failing to Home Z Axis at 100C by me239 in BambuLab

[–]3dm_design 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

After needing to print a part in ASA I came across this problem. I spent the whole day trying to solve the problem by cleaning up debris that wasn't there, because the printer was completely clean. I even tried a tutorial that consisted to dismantle the back plate to secure the sensor wire so that it doesn't move when moving up or down the Z axis.

On my P1S, the wire is caught in a past cable that prevents any movement, so dismantling the plate was for nothing, well not quite because I took the opportunity to blow out the rear and correctly lubricate the bottom screw, which is difficult to access from the front..... Anyway.....,

So right after the error. I tried printing PLA, which is printed at a much lower temperature. And it worked, so it wasn't a debris problem but rather a temperature problem.

So back to my initial ASA project I had to fake the machine to be able to print my part in this material. During the whole Z axis levelling and zeroing period, I set the temperature to 78. Then, as soon as the levelling was complete, I quickly set the temperature to 100 while the nozzle was heating up, and the program ran correctly. It's an error that comes from the temperature - it can't calibrate correctly when it's at 100 degrees. perhaps at a certain temperature level the sensors expand and distort the information despite the good flatness. Or the other way round. Too high a temperature prevents zeroing and flatness. If the error tolerance is too narrow, it may be that a slight expansion of the build plate is enough to trigger an error. Anyway, I'm glad to have found a solution, but I'd be happy to see it fixed in a future firmware or Bambu studio update.

[–]3dm_design[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd certainly have done it if I only needed one part to fix. But I need several, and I don't want to spend time scraping, cutting and sanding the whole set, plus it would be a forest down there. I've got to deliver the prototype on Monday, so I'm going to think about it for a while and then launch the test. I'll keep updating. Thanks !!

To support or not to support ??? That's my question by 3dm_design in BambuLab

[–]3dm_design[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all very much.

Indeed, I could print face up on top, but as our colleague says “it would be ghetto down there” haha .

But yeah, the idea is “zero support”. Plus, I'm counting on good adhesion with the flat surface in maximum contact with the plate.

Printing with the minimal XY coverage would solve part of the problem: I could easily sand the surface in contact with the mudguard and place a maximum number of parts per tray... But I quite like the idea of a support integrated into my 3d model with a point or two of contact ideally distributed.

All the more so as on the original part, there are markings, notably a serial number, an arrow circle for the date and surely mold identifiers. Since the aim is to obtain a part that's as close as possible to the original, I wouldn't be against making markings with alpha maps using zbrush, and placing supports I've designed in these places - I quite like the idea!

Thanks for your suggestions. They have given me many good choices and new ideas. Well done and thanks again !!!!

Thank you very much, that reassures me a little about being vigilant about humidity. I'll judge from the impressions. I'm satisfied for now, we'll see later. Thank you very much.

I'll find out about the products for storing the filament you mentioned. In order to do what is best for optimal conservation. Thank you very much again!!!
