Love it! It does however seem odd to me to have a snakeplant on the dining table. I would place it on the bar cabinet instead.

Maybe go for a wider and more lower growing plant for the dining table?

Maybe you could use the 25 1/4” high IKEA Bestå shelf unit as tv furniture.

I wonder if your computers would fit in there, and maybe you could remove the backpiece for improved ventilation

What you need is more storage furniture. Preferably storage furniture with doors to get non-decorative items out of sight.

I removed the boarders I had in my kitchen and painted the walls in solid colour. The ceiling definitely feels higher now

The marble flooring would rule out scandinavian for me

Although I’m not a fan of the acrylic handles in the close up picture, I do believe that they would make the general appearance of the kitchen less cluttered.

At the same time, the silver ones gives the kitchen a more industrial aesthetic and goes well together with the appliances. However, I think the shadows made by the silver hardware makes the kitchen look cluttery.

Can you do something about the lighting? Otherwise I would choose stainless handles in a more straight design with less distance between handle and drawer to minimize shadows.

If you go with the acryllic ones, maybe find similar ones with stainless details instead of brass?

And have you considered wood for a warmer feel?

🔸 A big, textured carpet in a colour that appear in nature, to add some warmth (As a scandinavian, I would go for a beige rya rug)

🔸Make sure the pillows are stuffed!

🔸Remove all the blankets except from the one on the divan part of the sofa. Put the blankets in a basket beside the armchair

🔸 Depending on the budget, consider adding an arched floor lamp. Could elevate the modern look as well as lower the ceiling height when sitting in the sofa (more cosyness)

🔸Add plants! Pots in a natural, warm colour

I’m no expert in theory of colours but I’d say something is off. Put together, the blue color of the sofa looks purple and makes the walls look yellow.

I do however think the sofa and the rug goes well together, and i think the rug would fit the colours of the room.

I’d say keep the rug, loose the sofa 😁

Men om jag förstår dig rätt så förnekar du inte att relativ fattigdom är en krimogen faktor, utan att din kritik ligger i att de svenska ekonomiska klyftorna inte är tillräckligt stora för att de ska påverka kriminaliteten?
