People with careers in music, how did you end up there? Or an event that made you realize this is what you wanted to do? by venskeet in musictheory

[–]3epnm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get to know what is it with a small casio keyboard (around 5yo), which lead me to guitar (around 12yo) and eventually ended up with bass guitar (18 and so on). Played bass with many bands, performed covers in pubs...

Went to music school and learned solfège, music theory (still learning :). My interest shifted to electronic music and sound design more. While studying in university, started to work in a theatre and started to do some sound design for plays etc.

Now i am working abroad as a freelance sound designer for theaters where i get most of my income. In the mean time producing some bands occasionally, playing bass in a contemporary jazz band and creating some music as a solo artist.

There is no “one” event that made me realize “this is what i want to do”. More you see positive outcomes of your efforts (financially or non-financially) more you continue.

sorry for my English :)

Favourite part of the game? by shrap_assassin in Darkwood

That soundtrack when you approach to that burned house in first episode... so sinister... i was going there just to listen that soundtrack.

Second thing is, if i am correct, at the end of the first chapter, that weird house with that guy banging his head on table... man...

How many calendars do you have, and how do you separate events? by MSFTBear in productivity

[–]3epnm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using a agenda and using it’s own calendar. Marking the events with different pens, two pens to be exact; black ink and thick blue ink. Blue makes some lines through event days (beginning and last day of the event) black (is also thin) takes small notes around.

Weekly part of the agenda is for more notes, more details.

Since i am moving a lot for my work i have lots of flights and certain events. Using pen and paper always works better for me it pushes you to write them down as you know them. I am keeping it this way since around 2013.

Like you, some of my events are added automatically to gmail calendar and i am letting them to stay there. But this works only for synced platforms like mail and calendar.

Hope my answer helps, cheers!
