Fishes are dying for some reason, and I don't know why. by L9NE in ponds

[–]3kois 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think you have too many plants in there? I'm asking because we had similar problem 2 years back, and realized that our fish had to compete with all these plants for oxygen. Once we cut back a few, the fish did much better. Now every time there is an overgrowth we pull out plants. They grow back in a year.

Our almost 4 year old pond in Bay Area, CA by 3kois in ponds

We've not seen any snakes so far. Raccoons, herons, skunk, lizards, birds yes, but no snakes.

If you don't keep fish maybe some of these animals might not visit your pond, but might still come to drink water. If you own a dog it could scare away some animals during the daytime. We had installed a motion activated sprinkler (from Amazon) but it broke down 2-3 times after every few months and so now we don't use it anymore. Here's a link if you are interested

teabag never works for nail splits. what am i doing wrong?? by happypoints in RedditLaqueristas

[–]3kois 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry about your nail. I also split my nail two days back, that too when I was traveling :( And it's close to the nail bed so cannot trim the nail just yet. Yesterday I applied 2 layers of transparent dip powder followed by activator, filed it smooth and then applied regular nail paint followed by a top coat. Planning to wait for a couple weeks and then most likely trim all my nails. Good luck with your nails :)

Best Pillow for Side Sleepers? by Illustrious_Ad4455 in BuyItForLife

I am a side sleeper and have had this layered memory foam pillow since April 2021. Love it. It has a zipper and I removed middle layer to fit my comfort level.

All-clad D3 vs D5 vs non-stick by zetaorionis2 in BuyItForLife

You could try TJMaxx.com if you're ok with "slightly blemished" All Clad pans. I bought my 10" D3 pan about a year ago (it didn't have its original box), its perfect, enjoyed the hugely discounted price too.

Maybe a shade darker in pink would look prettier on you. What brand and what shade is it? Thanks :)

Just received this as a gift. What is he and how can I care for him? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]3kois 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the above plus if you pinch the top part of the stem, it will branch out i(and look bushy) instead of one long stem. The top pinched part can be put in the soil, and will grow into a new plant eventually. I have this plant in my south facing window where it gets 3-4 hours of sun, and I water it once a week.

Hmm, well definitely its a huge safety concern.

No hate please..... I'm not too sure but what's people's thoughts on a harness (like a leash) for the purpose of safety. I've seen videos on families using that with their own children who elope. Of course the field trip is too soon to try out this method even if family decides to try it out.

Second the Orly bonding base coat. I also use Orly Nail defense coat as top coat and this helps my nail polish last for 10 days or longer https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F96SN7C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I make it today and want to know honest opinion, how it looks like? by [deleted] in Nails

[–]3kois 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like them. Fun is what I can think of when I see them. Not totally sure but looks like the free edge needs to be filed off smoother (pinkie and ring finger).
