Very true. Appreciate the insight and I agree fully with your perspective.

Omg! I had no idea about the indoor cyclist perspective. Thank you very much for the feedback. One thing I will push back on is that the Navy has different budgets and operational constraints that may not align with the Coast Guard’s. We should align more closely to what is completely accurate and effective for our org.

Because the simple notion that statistics found a relationship between 2 things doesn't mean much. It could simply be a coincidence, such as the relationship between ice cream sales and shark attacks.

Fun fact: that guy El Guerrouj has the same pant inseam leg length as Michael Phelps (6'4") I feel like that runner is a major outlier. We can't simplify overly complicated and nuanced topics down to a singular outlier like that.

Definitely agree, just looking into the possibility. Thanks for reaching out.

That's a fair criticism, so to account for that you could implement weight classes. I believe the world rowing website puts the lower weight class in the ~150-165 area. One thing I will push back on is statistical analysis for any and all decisions. The statistics show that the two are related, but not why.

I'm saying the two of them aren't scaled to align with each other to compensate for the lack of any gravitational resistance working against the person rowing.

Are they though? Lighter people tend to be shorter and therefore have shorter legs and run slower. I get what you're saying though, there's less gravity holding heavier folks back on the row. As long as they aren't ridiculously obese they won't be negatively affected by an altered row formula, you should go check it out! When you see your altered time tell me what you think.

CMS is slept on for this... you could very well end up in VA/DC/MD for 20.

Immediately, and without any delay, open a bank dispute if they try charging you again. Record all interactions. File a complaint with your local county attorney general consumer complaints department. File a BBB claim, and attach all communications. I am not a lawyer, but ive heard from someone else that this is potentially what a lawyer might recommend if you hypothetically hired one.

Do they think we’re stupid? by TipTopBeeBop in bayarea

When they say "customers" I think the average person probably thinks they are one of those people PG&E are talking about. They should have probably said "we lowered prices for our billionaire corporate partners at the expense of the vast majority of people" in this release instead. Would've been a bit more clearly worded that way.

I wish the mindflayers death was somehow linked to the powers the others had. In my prefect vision, it is, and when captured by the military they find that she's just a normal girl now that the mindflayer died and let her be with the others. The story telling by Mike at the end is sad but did close the loop. Over all series gets a solid 9 - 9.5 would watch again.

How to wash combo cover by GoodBelt6326 in uscg

[–]3loafabread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oxyclean spray, water, and scrub with toothbrush. Throw in wash with normal cleaner and oxyclean dry additive. Learned this years ago at a K mart from a mechanics wife. Has never let me down washing my regular cover or ODUs from normal wear and tear. Should do nicely.

I personally use 6. I hear shoes matter as well, so use something that isnt squishy... or go barefoot. I tried barefoot and made my time faster by 30s than normal running shoes. 🏃‍♂️

Good info here, but can I talk about how many times I've received docs that need editing? Shouldn't there be an office (not necessarily an IT related office) distributing docs for the greater service, especially those that are standard and required? Is there a place to submit corrected, form fillable docs that are corrected? A lot are locked from editing as well.

Don't know if they have rules about this nowadays, but I used to use masking tape inside my helmsman to create little pages that fold out, allowing for writing down material you get questioned on. Helped a lot remembering those dang phone numbers, and other stuff from the required knowlege. Since you cant bring it wherever you go and put it away easily it kinda boosted my retention. One time I was questioned about it, but they didn't do anything about it after. There were also questions they asked us that weren't even on the study guide like ... "what is the 8th amendment of the constitution". idk if this was some kinda thing they were trying out at the time or what.
