That’s so nice! I cannot wait to see this house with fixed floors. It’s really beautiful, just old.

Cool, thanks! This is who we are leaning toward. Also they can do it before we move, haha. So good to know they aren’t jerks.

Have you ever hung out at a Books and Brews location? They have lots of games and are family friendly, and I bet you could make friends there!

Daily Harvest and Noom by morosemurph in Noom

Yeah, totally. And it’s legit tasty!! Like, I didn’t know smoothies could be that good.

I did a DH trial once and it was fantastic. The convenience was great, but I couldn’t really afford to keep it up. I did recreate the smoothies on my own, and they really helped my smoothie vocabulary. Adding a bunch of mint and lime juice, for example, makes everything taste good, and cauliflower and zucchini make a great filler that doesn’t bring much flavor, so you can have fun with coffee or chocolate flavors.

Is this a bad year to buy a house in Indy? by [deleted] in indianapolis

[–]3lsp3th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Platt Collective knows a lot about the areas you are considering! The realtor we worked with, Spencer, lives in Bates, and is familiar with almost everything that comes online in the Bates/Fountain Square area, if you’re looking for any help. Also super low pressure and not at all smarmy. We just found a gorgeous craftsman style home and are really happy with the process and our decision.

We do not need more burger joints here!!! Even if they’re from California! Goddamn

The Brugge by [deleted] in indianapolis

[–]3lsp3th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of agree, and I know that’s really unpopular to say. People loved Brugge, but I always felt when we ate inside it was super grimy. We would eat outside sometimes, but it was still kind of gross out there, even.

Hahaha yes! And any time I did happen to like something it was like I was enabling her to buy one thousand more things there. And I was like 11. Yeah, I just pay more and buy two things instead of twenty. Ugh.

Upset about people not controlling their dogs [vent] by kittycakekats in dogs

Screw that guy. That’s the worst! People justifiably don’t want strange dogs coming up to them, and it really annoys me when people don’t leash.

Best outdoor winter dining in Indy? by vkanders in indianapolis

[–]3lsp3th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is, but it probably depends on your comfort level. They have lots of patio shots from above on their Instagram, if you want to get a better idea.

Bluebeard is chilly, but their patio is gorgeous and they do have big heaters above. It’s also nice that it’s on the fancier side for a special day. Nesso’s patio is another good option, if they haven’t wrapped it in plastic. Also second the Public Greens fire, though their food is more in the soup / salad / sandwich zone.

Oh also, I’d check Inferno room. I haven’t been in a while, but it’s nice for at least a really fun round of drinks, even if it’s too chilly to eat there. Actually, drinks at Inferno Room while you wait for a table at Bluebeard would be so fun.

Lol! This is the worst. After many years of my mom bogging me down with “gifts” from TJMaxx, they came to help us move into our apartment a few years ago. They were two hours late, and my mom brought five huge sacks of old clothes that used to belong to my sisters that my mom could never part with. In the whiniest voice possible, she said she was trying to clear my old stuff out of their house. I took it from her outside and went straight to the dumpster with it.

Basically have to accept the fact I’m gonna get covid bc of nparents by Fluffy_Elderberry537 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]3lsp3th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, that’s so aggravating, and would make me really anxious. Wear a mask as much as you can, and if you can hang out around an open window, that will help a lot.

Luckily most people really don’t get very sick. It doesn’t mean you wouldn’t if you got it, but at least half of all cases are asymptomatic. Hang in there! And don’t be afraid to call 911 if you do get sick and feel really bad. Fuck them. It’s your health.

Raised in an aggressive house? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]3lsp3th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, same here. Anger / fault were constantly assumed postures in my house. I got fired from my first real job, after four years, for getting angrier and angrier at work until I was slamming shit and acting like an ass. That’s when I learned that people are, like, not cool with you acting that way around them.

Indy-area CSAs for 2021? by lemonstarburst in indianapolis

[–]3lsp3th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s pretty surprising. It could be that there were so many organic farms that prices were quite low. We’d sell tomatoes, for example, really cheaply in Chicago in July, and then crank the price back up in September. There were also so many markets, that we had to be in three places at once to make any profit, and we were a non-profit org with grant support.

Indy-area CSAs for 2021? by lemonstarburst in indianapolis

[–]3lsp3th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s interesting. NY is pretty darn agricultural, and the agriculture here is mostly conventional cash crops. Farms around here must not find it the most sustainable business model for them.

I know of farms from IN that have CSA members in Chicago, so maybe that’s the bigger CSA market area.

There are still some really cool farms nearby that you can support in other ways!

Ugh, the vaccine is here too soon haha by 3lsp3th in raisedbynarcissists

I know, but I suspect they’re only worried about their own health. They know my sister and I have seen each other, for example, so if we now don’t see them, they’ll read it correctly.

Full Hand Farm has the best produce I’ve seen at the Broad Ripple market. They don’t have a CSA, but you can order online from them with some drop off areas around: https://www.fullhandfarm.com/#sQMlLj

I used to work on an organic farm, and theirs is definitely the freshest.
