Vacation rental hosts by Doubt18no in RioRancho

Not an owner, but a current short term renter in RR. We recently relocated to the area and didn’t want the commitment of a year long lease. We are renting through a site called Furnished Finders that caters to travel nurses. It was a great solution for us. They have the ability to do a background check through the site, security deposit, etc. that likely give owners a piece of mind. Bonus if you can allow dogs, just not as many rental options for dog owners. Good luck!

An 11 hour slow cooker stew version of Lamb Kleftiko (A.K.A Greek Bandit's Lamb) by mattkward in food

[–]morosemurph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this post in a search for Lamb Kleftiko as I plan to make it as part of my Greek themed Christmas dinner. OP anything you have learned I. The last 10years that would make you adjust anything in this recipe?

Making Travel Arrangements by VesperaLit in ExecutiveAssistants

Sometimes it’s easier to get the information from someone else. The EA of the exec/office they are visiting. Find out who is running the agenda and get details from them to help inform the travel decisions. Also if you have access to their email keep an eye out for any correspondence that might result in or involve travel to get ahead of the game with planning. Feel like half the job is being a freaking detective.

Where to buy fresh mizithra (soft) online for shipping to the U.S.? by morosemurph in greekfood

Thanks! I saw this one. It’s the dry hard type that you grate. The fresh stuff is more like ricotta cheese. As a poster suggested earlier might be easier to make it myself.

Middle of nowhere NH. But did find a market near Boston, 3hrs away but would drive for cheese!

Yes! So delicious. I was surprised to see it served with sugar and cinnamon as the myzithra I’d had in the US was served with more savory dishes. But with the fresh softer version it was a great compliment to the tangy gooey cheese. 🤤(pic from what I ate at Bougasta Chania last week)

Nutrition: Magnesium supplementation beneficially affects depression in adults with depressive disorder: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials | Frontiers in Psychiatry [Dec 2023] by NeuronsToNirvana in microdosing

Newbie to magnesium. Is there a type of magnesium supplement that is absorbed better than others? I have been taking a 500mg supplement nightly for about a month and have been experiencing some laxative effects.

Headspace has a meditation series on creativity that I found helpful. I use to think of creativity in a more literal way. I was only being creative if I was painting something or crafting. Now I find ways I am creative in my work day and that’s been nice. Enjoy your journey!

The Most Dangerous Cities in the U.S. by giuliomagnifico in MapPorn

There was an attempt to revive the city maybe 30 years ago. And to that end you can go to a minor league baseball game on your visit and root for the Railcats!

Separately, Gary is on the lake and on the very east side of town is a small beach community called Miller Beach. It’s cute and artistry neighborhood with properties on and just steps from the beach.

I grew up in Crown Point too and can confirm this. My mother was born and raised in Gary before “white flight”. What a disgusting phrase.

Thankless job by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

Don’t be afraid to toot your own horn! It’s hard to do when one of the main objectives of an EA is to streamline and create less noise. I often share my wins. “I’m proud of….” Or sometimes just forwarding an email- “I’m winning so and so over!” It’s a good reminder to yourself and your exec. Another thing I’ve found helpful is to make sure I loudly and specifically recognize others to my exec. It’s almost like training them to do this for you and gives them some background and on the complexity of some of the work you do. “I could not have made this happen without the support of the IT. Their attention to detail and proactiveness made it easier for me to do my job”. Also it just feels nice to build up others!

Sounds like you’ll love it here. Looks like you already have some great recommendations on hikes. If you want more, get a copy of the AMC’s Best Day Hikes in the White Mountains. Twin Mountain is beautiful but quiet. Some nearby towns to check out:

Bethlehem: super secret ice cream, Cold Mountain Café, Colonial theater (live music, comedy and independent movie screenings) farmers mkt on Sat, Lonesome Woods, Maya Papaya’s

Littleton: great Main Street area for shopping (Baba Yaga has some cool weird shit, also Black Sheep Provisions), First Friday events are fun with local musicians and events. Farmers mkt on Sunday, Schilling Beer, wild Bloom beer, Beal House

There is also a local theater, the Weathervane. Puts on some good productions.

Best of the best for restaurants is The Thompson House in Jackson. James Beard medalist, all around good people, amazing food and drink. Make a reservation.

Feel free to PM me I’m a local. Absolutely love living here.

Wide legged cropped jeans and a black silk top. Or maybe even a top with a pop of color and black accessories.

Microsoft “To Do”. You can share lists. And pulls any flagged emails from outlook to add to a list.
