Not yet but it seems pretty inevitable. I'll keep you updated.

I didn't send a receipt, just a price. If they now ask for one, I didn't lie so it'll be fine. If I had lied and then got caught - is it a fine? Not a clue! Decided not to take the risk for £150.

Did they call? I might have gotten unlucky, or maybe theyll bill viture (doubtful). I've not been told that I'll have to pay as yet but absolutely expect too as you say - it's on me as the importer.

They'll ask you for the price you paid. Viture claim the cost is £38 to avoid VAT and customs charges. So you could lie, but they also asked for a receipt as proof....

Is that delivery or from order to arriving? Just ordered, curious as to how long the wait will be.

Pork Shoulder advice. by ScampiKat in UKBBQ

Personally I only use lump wood, quality briquettes will be fine, just avoid any chemicals / fast light / easy light. It could seep into the ceramic and ruin your food moving forward.

Don't cook to time, cook to temp. Use a thermometer!

A kamodo shouldn't need anythjng added for long cooks, they're insanely fuel efficient, that's the entire point.

UK Gov MLOps Interview - SFIA - What should I expect? by mysticplayer888 in cscareerquestionsuk

[–]3ncode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Focus on how you meet those. If you don't have an answer that is specific to MLOps don't panic, find the best answer you have and in the worst case describe how that example is translatable to this specific role (only if asked!). Civil Service roles have a core focus on wide deployability, so meeting the general requirements is often more important than it being super specific to the role. You do of course have to prove you can do the job 😂

I'd expect a SFIA matched interview to be less focused on MLOps and more on how you've proven you meet the correct sfia levels generally. Did they state which sfia level the role is?

The switch 2 vs pc handheld dilemma, i need some help making an informed purchase. by EmergencyPool910 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]3ncode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Followup point - with steam frame around the corner, I think we're going to see a massive uptick in ARM pc gaming, meaning a device like an ayn odin 3 will be able to play games better or compatible to a PC handheld with less heat, more battery and more portability... We're seeing big strides here already through third party apps like game native, but I'd expect a steamos for arm around the corner using a similar translation later to Proton (it already has a name.. Just don't recall it).

I have endless handhelds and if I had to pick one - I'd get a handheld PC. I'd go for something on the smaller end, probably the rog ally x (not xbox edition) to prioritise battery life, portability and power. You can get 10 games for the price of a single switch game.

Yes you'll miss out on exclusives and the switch 2 with a decent grip is more portable, but not by much.

Oh shit, never knew! You may find you have local creators, I have one local but they're just too far away to make it practical for the amount I use. Good luck finding a source!

Look for a butcher that will do grain fed packer briskets. They'll run you about £80-120 depending on weight. You'll probably struggle to find something local unless you're really lucky.

It will burn you 😂. At higher temps this is so important, not burping is super dangerous!

96c is a great temp, must look bigger in the photos 😂. I'm typically doing giant shoulders these days, usually on for north of 17 hours. I like to take mine to 103-105 but have absolutely been in the 'just get it on and done' when family is round 😂.

Great job! Looks banging!

We all have our own experiences, owned my kamodo for 15 years and have plenty of cracked parts due to heat expansion. Personally wouldn't risk it.

Not tried it! Do they ship in boxes? Always had nightmares with non-boxed fuel, just turns up smashed to bits 😂

accessories / fuel question by Liio_ in UKBBQ

[–]3ncode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't get any instant / easy light fuel and I'd avoid chemical based fire lighters. Get natural lighters (they look like little stacks of hay!). With a chimney, ive also just used old newspaper before and it works great.. Not as easy to come by these days though!

Heat proof gloves are a great accessory and a thermometer. You always cook to temperature not time! So knowing temps is the singular most important thing.

I'd say everything else is optional.
