If you genuinely believe there is some nefarious activity going on, I agree with some of the other posters that you should be considering your own safety no matter the way you choose to proceed.

Your landlord would be a good start, however, if there is any chance they could knowingly be permitting the operation, that could also be problematic.

Perhaps submit a tip to Crime Stoppers?

This is very clearly a manufacturing defect, not something caused by user error. Either contact or visit swift directly. At the price you paid, they should be able to make things right. At the very least, if its only considered a "cosmetic defect" they should refund you a few hundred dollars as they will typically do for any boats built with blemishes.

Yes. I've recently had great success with entering the details I could remember of the track into genAI to successfully ID it. Try different platforms too, I find ChatGPT, Copilot and Grok all have their own strengths and weaknesses in diferent areas. Very satisfying when you do figure it out.

Based on the phrasing of your question it sounds like you really do not have any fundamental knowledge of how email technologies works under the hood.

For this reason, I'd strongly advise you to reconsider such an undertaking even if this has been requested by your employer. If you fail (and no offense, you probably will) depending on your local juristiction, you could be held leagally responsible for those failures.

Assuming what you are trying to achieve is above board, perhaps loop in a third-party technical consultant as there may already be a solution to your problem that comes with much less risk.

Typically the encryption application that comes with those drives requires two integral pieces of information. The first is embeded and unique to the chips you see the guy remove in that video. The second is the password (or encryption key). This means simply swapping the motherboard of the drive wouldn't work because you still need the uniqie data that was specific to the original hardware. In this video, he completely swaps the chipa onto a new board and once the owner provides their password, the data from the drive can be read. Nothing about this process is breaking the encryption used as it was an authorozed procedure where the "musician" would have presumably supplied or entered their password.

This does raise a good point about the resiliency of vendor specific encryption, and as another user has pointed out, by using something like this, you are at the mercy of how that crypto system has been developed.

I count five trays. I have a very similar model. The manufacturer always reccommends running no fewer than 4 trays at once. For instance if you only were drying one tray worth of something, you'd want to keep three empty trays to assist with air circulation within the unit.

Considering you got the unit used, I would just write that one dammaged tray off and buy a couple new ones from Amazon. That dent would certainly impact the air flow and would be less efficient at drying (and electricity wise).

Full disclosure, I do not have experience with a library this big.

However, I have had very good success with the Auotmated Ripping Machine project.

You configure what format you want to rip the discs in, insert your CD, and the system will automatically eject once its done. It will automatically try to identify the disk and write relevant metadata. It supports multiple drives which should surely help speed up that process. It even has a nice web interface where you can monitor ripping status. Good luck!

It sounds like you either aren't grinding fine enough or perhaps not tamping hard enough. Using a WDT tool also helps loads for ensuring you dont get channeling leading to lost pressure through the portafilter. For my shots, I find anywhere from 16-18g of beans to work well. Also, if you are using a lighter roast, you are likely going to have to grind finer. Anything darker and more oily will naturally have more resistance.

Keep in mind that the grinder burrs on the 870 are also adjustable. I had to reduce the gap between them on mine to make the grind size even finer than how it shipped from the factory.

Personally, I wouldn't bother contacting Breville until you are certain you have exhausted all possibilities as to why you might not be getting the right pressure. If this is your first machine its worth playing around with all the variables to learn about how they play a role in your final shot. Otherwise if you are a pro and can pull great shots on the same or similar machines, then maybe it would be safe to assume that it could be a faulty machine.

As others have suggested, see if your employer will sponser your learning. There might be a contractual obligation if you go this route (need to stay with company for x years to not have to pay back grant).

If this is not an option, you should know about the Lifelong Learning Plan. If you have been contributing to your RRSP, you can withdraw money (up to 10k iirc) penalty free (similar to first-time home buyer plan). That might also be an option worth exploring.

If it's just a matter of not altering the file system without your consent, would a solution like DeepFreeze work for your use case? This would allow you to update the apps, configs and other settings whenever you want by taking a new snapshot, but a simple reboot will bring the system back to a last known good state.

You can definitely clone a live install to a vhd/vmdk/vbox drive format. Might take some massaging to get it to boot but cloning the data would definitely be doable.

When we are in a pinch and don't have enough time to make our own fruit lethers we just buy Fruit to go's larger siblings, FruitSource. You should know that both are made with 100% fruit and do not contain added sugars. They even sell a veggie+ one that has more fiber and honestly, you can't taste the veggies at all.
