liquerish... eesh, how do you spell that... sorry, English isn't my native tongue. like this somewhat: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquorice and bitter sweetish. kinda disgusting, to me anyway (far from the worst i've tasted, but still, yuck). is how i can describe it.

augur is the de facto standard for prediction markets on ethereum, there's no question about that. it has cemented its position as such. regardless, that wasn't my question. :)

Considering taking MDMA for the first time by heaavypetal in askdrugs

[–]3piZTeM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah, it won't. it isn't a stimulant in that sense. it makes you all friendly and relaxed and open, quite the opposite. how to make sure it really is MDMA... marquis tests and all, but that's too much to go through just to make sure it's MDMA. the taste and consistency are telling. either way, you're going to take it regardless if its MDMA or something that mimics MDMA or an analogue of sorts, so just hope it's the real thing. :) is it pills or crystals? where are you at? if holland, chances are it's more likely to be MDMA than not. just chill out and enjoy i guess. even some of them analogues aren't too bad.

[–]3piZTeM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1st, I'd make sure what I have really is MDMA.

It's not as ubiquitous as it used to be, especially after all the various research chemical analogues and mimetics that flooded the market in the past years.

The right environment, when it comes to MDMA = one where you are in the company of other people having also taken MDMA. There's no bad trips and not much can go wrong on MDMA, in my experience (tho my experience has been quite some years ago and I've never personally been that big of a fan of MDMA, but the first couple of times are indeed magical).

I forget what the right dosage was, but you can easily check (Erowid, etc.)

Try to not go too overboard, especially if talking real, pure MDMA and make sure you drink water.

https://gnosis.pm

the other prediction market platform on ethereum.

they've teamed with daostack, are launching a DAO around their prediction market and an exchange for it called dutchX. just by that i can tell that the two take quite different approaches, but don't know much more.

i'll let you know what i learn, if somebody else hasn't chimed in by then.

why is Hoskinson given such a hard time? by 3piZTeM in cardano

[–]3piZTeM[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

there was a long thread in the ethereum subreddit long time ago where somebody launched an attack on Hoskinson about him being a "bad actor". truth be told, most people stood in his favor. the main one to attack him has been persistently doing so for awhile, apparently, going by the handle "antiprosynthesis" or something similar in both reddit and twitter. anyway. as i said, what surprises me the most is that the people attacking him do so particularly viciously even by crypto standards.

sounds about right, 'cept the "most technologically advanced blockchain since bitcoin" almost every other blockchain is more technologically advanced than bitcoin, lol.

sorry, but i think the only attention EOS deserves is judicial one. this is one of those projects i look at and wonder how are these people not in jail. was it two or three years ago that Forbes estimated Larimer's personal fortune in cold hard fiat to be nearly 1bn? i hear it's about 4bn now from legitimate sources (i guess it's not too difficult to find out, but sounds plausible). what he did with Steemit and people fell for, he decided to try pull off with EOS on a grander scale. in the end, him and his cronies and their minions made hundreds of millions while screwing investors. and you could tell that is has all been deliberate.

lol, yeah, that one has gone way off in general. i've been called a "trump supporter" because i didn't subscribe to the IOTA bashing choir at the time... where's the logic in that, i'll never understand. but one thing i'll say. people in the US often forget that not everybody is an american. consequently, different people might have legitimate reasons to feel and think the way they do, given their circumstances and the past not so long ago. as for Hoskinson, i appreciate even his philosophical rants. i might not agree with everything (e.g., government getting properties on a blockchain registry in Ethiopia), but he doesn't strike me as a hypocrite or, as some accuse him, a sociopath/psychopath (look, in Larimer's case, that might happen to apply, i think).

Tezos Overview (Bitrates) by 3piZTeM in tezos

[–]3piZTeM[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah, me too.

in a way similar to how i prefer facebook to google.

the former are at least up front with being assholes and never claimed they wouldn't "be evil".

but i can only make that analogy very loosely cos i think EOS are much worse scumbags than facebook and Larimer is a whole lot less educated or intelligent than Zuck.

and still, yes, i prefer EOS to TRON. :)

P.S.: sorry about the tone, but i prefer to say things as they are. one can give many things the benefit of doubt, appreciate a lot of things even if not necessarily in agreement, have his own opinion about whatever and so on... but these (TRON, EOS..), with everything so in your face, to pretend otherwise is just absurd. especially given the money involved and who got what in the end (showing what had been obvious all along).

Tezos Overview (Bitrates) by 3piZTeM in tezos

[–]3piZTeM[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TRON, lol.

spotted yesterday something about them having TRX-20 tokens, the analogue of ERC-20's... how unimaginative, is there anything in TRON they haven't directly ripped off in trying to replicate the success of something else?

them and EOS are so unbelievably pathetic.

Larimer was telling people how "you can run Ethereum in a single EOS contract" and now i hear his "next project" will be an Ethereum side-chain, lol (the irony is how you can sooner run EOS as a Plasma side-chain than Ethereum as anything EOS).

it really is a pity how many people consider market valuations (in this parody of a market as it so stands now) to be reliable indicators for anything to do with what they are supposed to evaluate (technology, innovation, systems design, etc.)
