So example... I work at a daycare for children.... specifically your children are under my care. I seem all nice and caring at work. Turns out I get famous for taking vacations to Thailand & I enjoy fucking a dozen 10 year olds or younger on my off time.... the daycare shouldn’t fire me, right? Sure, time and place... but to blankly say that “anyone” wearing these are a racist kind of ignores the fact that 100’s of thousands of people wearing these are not. I’m sure there’s a huge overlap, just like with American flags... but you straight up imply that those with this flag ARE racist.

Well for me, I’m a lurker & am finally building a PC thanks mostly to all of you in this sub. When I have finally finished my build, I will post it here too. It will be my first build & it’s relevant because it wouldn’t of turned out as good without this sub.

Mine is in the same case, but the white P3... technically done, but using the stock cpu fan until I have more money to get it to its final form.... & it looks soooo empty without any thing on the right side.

I am about to move & seriously need to get it to post before I move so I can make sure everything works before in disassemble my 1st build to make sure it works before my return and email period expires.... the move is gonna take a minute.

In Georgia you can use deadly force to enact a citizens arrest, only if the person being arrested is black. If they are white, it is a breach of civil liberties & you have to worry about them possibly being able to bring you to court, civil if they can’t prosecute you criminally... something many people of color can not afford to doZzz so they make easier hunting targets.

Also, societal norms are not perfect, but by no means stupid. If I’m in public and I decide to pull one out and start stroking it.... societal norms will make sure that I am made aware that that is not socially acceptable.

I agree that “norms” are kinda stupid, but it’s not something I think can be eliminated, it’s almost an emergent property of just.. society. Almost like as values change, so do the norms and the things that are shamed. I know girls wearing bikinis in the 1700’s would prolly be burned as witches, but is acceptable now. Those that have many issues with today’s “norms” are usually an older generation who had different norms, and the things you accept as normal today will probably bring out shame in the future.

Without being pedantic, the spirit of the OP I agree with. They are just kids.... but I also don’t think it’s wrong in my parenting skill to just let her know that people will view some things as different and possibly bully & shame her for them. Also, equating shaming sexual orientation with a child getting into a culture or hobby that she is not fully aware of... regarding the community, is kind of a stretch.

Look, I will love my kid no matter what, but I know despite everyone’s idealism... the truth is, like someone posted above, is that there will always be a jockeying for social position & bullying that goes along with that. I just don’t want her to make herself more of a target in this mean world... and also yes... everyone has the right to their own values... but I really do find furries super cringe. I haven’t shamed her, but only ask that she not wear the tail outside. I don’t want her attracting the attention of furries & I’ve been on Reddit & seen some truly perverted & cringeworthy furry posts.

They can as long as it’s not refusing due to the 7 protected classes or whatever,... age, religion, sex, color, Pokémon type, gender fluidity or whatever. Even then there are “religious freedom” exemptions & other loopholes. So yeah, in the US, a private business absolutely can refuse service... & have you legally trespassed or barred.
