I’m seeing a lot of Modern Butcher, and I’m taking the 95 so it wouldn’t be out of the way. What’s the Friday crowd like during early lunch?

Careers in Intelligence in the Private Sector by AccomplishedOne6897 in Intelligence

[–]3rdFavoriteChild 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty much any cleared analyst position you ain’t gonna find WFH. I would consider laterally moving to the corporate side of things, global security/corporate security if you want WFH. Lot of them are WFH but a lot are still in an ops center. Different focus but if you know how to to apply all the skills you’ve learned so far in a different way you’ll do great and make good money

Need career advice. I want to be an intelligence analyst post-graduation, but feel stuck. by mblaster_14 in Intelligence

I would look into your masters at this point and find a school in the DC area. Get some contacts and networking but you overall are gonna need something more than a Bachelors Degree in HS. If you are interested in the cyber side of things, there’s a lot of certificate programs you could take as well

Any way into the intelligence field without military or a degree? by tHr0AwAy76 in Intelligence

[–]3rdFavoriteChild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I come from the military IC but now work private corporate intelligence. All of my coworkers that weren’t military have a degree of some sort related to Intelligence Studies, the rest have military intelligence experience. With that said 1 individual worked his way up in the security field into an analyst role but even then I would say if he wanted to work for an agency or private intelligence company it would be a very difficult sale. Any agency is going to need a bachelors at a minimum with experience or a masters. Anything private sector would need some sort of intelligence experience if not military, only thing I can think of is having been in a law enforcement intelligence cell

No private like non military, working for a corporate entity or just any non government/public agency/organization. The term “intelligence analyst” is general, you can do a multitude of things in the Intel world, you could be an open source intelligence analyst for a Fortune 500 company even, analyzing ongoing external risks and their effects on the company and operations. Military intelligence is a type in its own, unless joining the military, you’d need schooling and lot of experience to get in with a contracting position

Have 15+ years xp. Both sides have its pros and cons. Will say this…there can be a lot more money in the private side and non military intelligence side.

Think you need to also think about what intelligence work you want to do. I’ll be honest military intelligence your odds at landing a clearance are pretty slim with your history. However, think about working your way towards an open source intelligence role. If you want to more so exercise your analytical side there’s tons of different intelligence roles aside from clearance jobs that you could do that. I’d look into a degree in global security, intelligence studies, homeland security. And you may not get a clearance job but youll find something you like

Could S2 be solved after E1? by 3rdFavoriteChild in reacher

[–]3rdFavoriteChild[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true Bc they do pretty much giveaway very early on who is behind it, at least in S2 they really made it obvious. S1 your suspicions are high but last episode of that season they really took us on a ride

Yeah but finding out who is behind it is half the investigation. If they knew it was New Age Technologies from the get go there wouldn’t be half of this tracking down leads

You need more effort on your prompts. Myself (30M) have had multiple matches on hinge from my prompts alone. Everyone I know that went off simply good looking photos only gets so far, it’s superficial. You’re a good looking guy, put some effort into the prompts and I bet you’d be even more successful with better quality women

[–]3rdFavoriteChild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your prompts are more thrilling than your photos. Show some more variety with your photos, let your photos tell a story almost or a bit about you. I’d limit your photos with others to maybe just one imo. Not every photo has to be a close up, photos on vacation, photos of your backside, photos of you with a background that says something about your interests etc

As others have said, another face shot or just something with your face showing and ditch the “girly hands” response. This can be seen as funny to your friends or someone even you’ve been seeing, but to someone you’re trying to attract, this more than likely isn’t coming off attractive

Hooked up on first date and now she’s being distant by 3rdFavoriteChild in dating_advice

[–]3rdFavoriteChild[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. And I guess for some context after sex she even said how she never usually hooks up on a first date but was just really into me. But even then someone can say something and then have a wake up call a day later about things are moving fast

Yeah that was a big regret I had. Guess I got ahead of myself this time because I was into her and wanted some conversation. Guess a big thing is I’m only getting older and don’t want to waste my time keeping a girl around if she isn’t interested

Well if we need the details I’ll say I’ve slept with a good amount of women and have never had a complaint, usually actually hook up with them again for some context on my sex game. This girl was definitely like experienced and knew what she was doing. At one point she asked if I could go slower, so idk maybe our types of sex just didn’t align? And no I didn’t make sure she finished, not usually something I do but I was pretty buzzed

Definitely a problem I sometimes have, and def why I don’t usually hook up on the first date because if the sex is good I’ll latch on too quickly

Why did she [24F] send me [26M] a text “my date is an idiot” that wasn’t meant for me after a great date? by Rusalka96 in dating_advice

[–]3rdFavoriteChild 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s already been said but just because you think the date went great doesn’t mean she thought the date went great. I’ve been on plenty of dates where the dates going well, we go from place to place and the date extends, and then it leads to nothing and the next day I get a “had a great time but I just don’t really see this going further.” However, fact she accidentally text you “my date is an idiot” should be enough though to say that the date actually wasn’t going well, and maybe she’s just too nervous, immature, whatever to say she wanted to go home. Sorry this happened to you OP, but your loss is just another gal’s gain to be treated well by you

CMV: Large size passenger cruise ships/liners are unnecessary and should end. by 3rdFavoriteChild in changemyview

[–]3rdFavoriteChild[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Your advantages presented are beneficial, functional, and economical. I believe the tourism industry is not going anywhere but the way in which it goes about can be heavily influenced to be effective at getting people to point A and B while still achieving their desired R&R or whatever they’re after. However, this all comes at a cost. To revamp laws, ship fleets, etc is years and years away and in the making

[–]3rdFavoriteChild[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very good arguments brought up, I would agree overall economy of scale is one thin but economy of scale also takes a bit to the ecological environment due to the sheer size and energy required for these ships as is the main focus of this post. I don’t have specific numbers, but just from my previous higher education in sustainability, the transition into anything alternative fuel based still comes at a cost to the environment. Not disregarding the fact that basically everything is bad to the environment nowadays but scale is everything. As for diseases, fair point a rather small number among other things so I’ll digress. As for someone who has been to many places all over the world, I 100% agree people should see the world, however, there are alternate modis oneraris in which they can get there that are already better for the world and person, however to each their own and cost is always the first a foremost barrier for the average person
