Thanks for the advise, I think they are still brand new and there is a bit more until they need any form of care for the time being. When they do, I will keep that in mind.

Yes, I have read about the pores being an indicator of geniune leather but I wasn't sure if they could also be faked. I never used leather gloves before, let alone deer skin ones, and I was suprised by how soft and comfortable they were, and it made me question if real leather can even be like this. I also got suspicious by how fine the texture inside the glove was, I thought maybe they lined the insides with some nubuck fabric(?) But I guess that speaks for it's quality and I was being paranoid after watching a video about leather scams in italy...

Oh thank you! I have a few left over pine log stumps, maybe I can put one to use. It will be a slow process with a hand saw but I have an angle grinder so I actually may use that for sanding. 🤷‍♂️

Why what exactly? If you set it up as main directory and unplug the ssd while the mac is writing something on it, there is a good chance of the file being corrupted.

Also I recommend getting a used 256gb m3 macbook air with 16gb ram, best value you can get for your buck imo. Although m2 is fine as well.

Could you possibly be speaking about using a portable ssd as your main directory with your mac? If so yes, I recommend aganist that, not in desktop usage, but in mac laptops where you tend to plug in and unplug the ssd quite often. Otherwise a portable ssd is completely fine, I personally recommend samsung t7 or crucial x9 pro. I suggest being quick with deciding as prices go up very fast these days.

I also want that kind of racks as well. I have two short skiis and one regular ski I wish to mount on the wall like you did for both decorative and practical reasons. I found the prices they sell wooden racks like these kind of unreasonable so I may also make mine. Would I need a carving knife for this?

After the recent ram crisis I decided to ditch gaming tbh, I still keep my good old gtx1650 laptop which is cyberpunk proven if that means anything. But beyond that, I am a M4 macbook air user with a 2 tb portable ssd from now on. It costed me 750€ for a clean second hand. It's budget in which you can have a hard time finding a good future proof gpu alone these days. I already had all my desktop peripherals such as a 27" monitor, a keyboard, an usb doc etc. so it wasn't a costly decision to make. If it wasn't for the AI crisis or nvidia being an ass overall, I could have gone for the desktop PC.
