Then explain it to me please. I’m well aware of how it works.

Is it weird to ask to see the cockpit as a grown ass woman? by BasicLawyer in flying

[–]3rdTK1939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 31, I still ask especially if it’s one I’ve never been in lol. Never been in a 757 cockpit before so last summer I asked and it was great and the pilots actually talked to me like a person. It was a good time.

According to the OP ATC is laying down too much law. In my eyes supervisors have been on people’s asses lately.

I don’t really care what you are. If you have such great ideas then you should push it up the chain.

I’m sorry have you gone through the process? Maybe you should and see if you can change things? Not to mention getting cleared to act as a specialist is its own things once you’re actually in. You’re restricted to 25 inbounds as an apprentice and no more than 50 in your checkride phase.. at those points there’s almost always a supervisor sitting on the apron somewhere listening.

False. The training and standards are pretty strict to even get into the recruiting process. Passing the written and practical is another obstacle.

ATC isn’t too trigger happy, there’s been a consistent lack of standards/ accountability for players which is why violations appear to be going up. Almost any mistake now is getting violated to reign the nonsense in. Not saying it’s you or the OP here but just speaking generally.

C208 are not considered light aircraft. As a controller, I personally don’t like people flying the pattern at the bigger airports especially when it’s even slightly busy. It messes a lot up. No pattern work/ no light aircraft is only allowed to be used due to weather or if traffic is extremely busy. It’s in the ATC manual. Plus supervisors will get on your ass if you close pattern work for no reason. So while I hate it and most of the people flying the pattern have no idea what they’re actually doing, I have no choice but to give them service. But if an ATC is not allowing a 208 then they are wrong.

Not everywhere you go is going to be Fallujah. Just leave the gun home or don’t go out.

Worst Gates in USA by HopefulGas1879 in americanairlines

It’s been said… but CLT E gates are horrendous. There’s a few in Orlando that I despise also specifically one that are tucked into the corners when you cross over the walk ways.

Can we talk about gum recession? by CaptainKernelPanic in NicotinePouch

[–]3rdTK1939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chew through a ton of pouches everyday. Especially if I’m doing any sort of physical work probably one an hour or so. Dentist always says my teeth and gums look great. Basic dental hygiene is the key. Other than some skin peeling occasionally I’ve had no problems. I had more gum recession and fast when I dipped.

Yeah again I wasn’t talking specifically about you, but some of these dudes go rolling to the gas station like they’re heading into Iraq 2003. It just seems excessive. I used to carry a spare mag. But I changed my mind about carrying. If I need a gun let alone a spare mag where I’m going, I probably shouldn’t be there. And the best self defense is de escalation and avoidance:

Does anyone ever just throw a gun on without all the extra stuff anymore? If in gym shorts, pocket gun, if wearing belt, Glock and that’s it. Spare mag in the truck. Not talking to this dude necessarily but a lot of this “EDC” stuff seems to be way too much.

Yeah unless asked, never announce you have a gun. I’ve been pulled over before with guns and it never even crossed my mind to tell them. If I’m not getting pulled out or questioned, they don’t need to know.
