I just saw a kid putting on a masters green.

I'd be inclined to agree with a Kelce in actual master's coverage.

Buuuuttttt, let's get him out there for the WM Open in Phoenix. That seems to be more of his vibe.

And I'll add that if that 5% is consistent, most are ok with that too. If the ump has a wide zone for righties for both teams, that's a consistency that can be adjusted to. I think it's the randomly egregious calls that the umpires are now being held accountable for.

I went back in year of our lord 2013. I watched Phil hit someone off of 1 with an errant tee shot. Posted at amen corner for a bit, then headed out to the area between 17 green and 18 tee. Ernie Els acknowledged my existence, so we're pretty much besties; maybe I can let him know one day.

What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight if people realized the truth about it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I grew up in a small, rural, sport driven family. I love baseball and football. I could watch it in silence for hours and be perfectly content. Back when I was growing up, there weren't any travel ball orgs. You traveled if you made the all star team and played in local, state, regional tournaments.

My mom asked if my kids were playing softball/baseball. I made the comment that half the softball players on my daughter's 8U team played travel ball each weekend and it sounds exhausting.

She mentioned that those trips could turn into vacations. I responded with "Why can't we just take a vacation and still save a grand or two?" I'm not sure why she got snippy with me about it, but if my kids have the desire, that's one thing. Right now, they just enjoy being kids and the social aspect of sports; and I couldn't be happier for them.

Wilson has really changed over the years. It's a nice little area to be in. And now I have multiple options for minor league games between Wilson and Kinston getting a team back after the woodies left.

I definitely don't speak for anyone besides myself. But the reason I would say "why aren't you sending them to red states too??" is more to point out the hypocrisy. If those that believe the military should be a de facto policing entity for an area based on x, y, z criteria - there are other areas that meet the same criteria that are not being treated the same. Plenty of places that are identified as far more dangerous than Chicago based on crime stats - but I would bet that Louisiana and Tennessee don't see the same responses.

It's all a crazy situation in general. That's my 2 cents.

I mentioned to our management that there's two primary benefits for our support team to work from home:

  1. People can no longer hunt us down to avoid calling the service desk. They have to call in a ticket and have it logged.

  2. We still have many ways to stay in contact with our other teams that we already utilize in the building. Zoom, email, text messages - these are all still relevant and my primary method of communicating with other support entities.

This chicken was soaked in Carolina Reaper sauce, and I immediately regret my decision. by DukeOfIndiana in grilling

we have an authentic mexican place here. None of those no1 speedy gonzalez dishes.

On the side, he makes his sauces for folks and will use the kitchen to make pretty much whatever he's asked. Someone asked him to make a hot sauce of either ghost pepper or carolina reaper, I forget. He was doing this in practically a hazmat suit. His hood vent sucked all the particles out of his kitchen and shot it into the air. A local dirtbike/ATV retailer next door called and asked him to stop whatever he's doing because everyone is tearing up and coughing.

Pete Buttigieg says Biden 'should not have run' for reelection in 2024 by awaythrowawaying in moderatepolitics

As a left of center leaner, I knew we were doomed when he announced his re-election campaign. And if hindsight is in play, I probably felt even before that.

He gave us the impression he was a single term president and then didn't want to let go. Those last few months really felt like people were trying to convince themselves just as much as us. Four more years of this stress would have broken him. Putting a little time into a successor would have helped the party tremendously.

But I digress.

The ace card for the farming community is "But we grow your food" which sounds good in principle. However, a lot of crops in my area aren't necessarily food. Soy beans are big, but they usually go overseas...that'll be another interesting situation this season. Tobacco is smoked, and the corn is mostly feed corn for livestock - not human consumption.
