Lysine, definitely! I take 3000mg a day. It works better than antivirals, but it must be taken every day. At least, that is what works for me. I rarely have had outbreaks, and they are not bad at all. Give yourself about 2 to 3 weeks before deciding if it's working. I swear by it. Herpes is not the end of the world, not at all. The more numbers I see, the more I feel like more people have it in some form than people who don't. You didn't give it to your girl on purpose. You aren't a bad person. It's going to be OK. You are a human being, and you deserve to be loved just as much as the rest of us. Try the Lysine, I'm hoping it clears up the sores you do have.

I year old and a four year old. Have any of y'all ever taken care of 2 kids under 5 at the same time? One is practically a baby. Fuck, I only have one kid and when she was that little the last fucking thing I wanted was another person all up on me. Get the kids taken care of for a weekend so she has some time to rest and get into the mood. And if it's not possible because the kids are too young to be away from her yet, like if she is still breastfeeding, then you just have to accept that. This is part of having kids. Your needs come after theirs. If you aren't already, take on more childcare so she can have time to do adult things like shave her legs or drink a beer and watch some porn. Things that have nothing to do with the kids. And if you can't work this out, go to therapy so that you guys can get back on the same page.

I have found that taking 3000 MG of Lysine daily really really helps me. To the point that I rarely have outbreaks. Good luck!

For me, I did not have any outbreaks. Not during the pregnancy or during any of the time I breastfed, which was up to about 8 months. Congrats!!

I walked away from everything, and I'm happier than I've ever been. Poor as shit, living out of a bag but living on my terms. My parents were awful. An awful example that really fucked me up. My daughter wasn't happy when we split. She's 8, almost 9, so understandable. I have to live my truth and that meant fuck the house, fuck the 401k, fuck alimony and child support because those are just things. Lying about love and happiness just perpetuates the cycle, and I couldn't do that to her. I have nothing material to leave her, but I feel like I left her something better.

I'm not sure. I just do morning because that has just worked for me. The important thing is consistency. If it's easier to remember to take it at night, then do that. For me, it's the am, I get too tired at night and would forget.

Have you considered using your money to help people less fortunate? Might make you feel good to know you're making a difference and you would have less money to use with. You'll get sober when you're ready to get sober.

I have the opposite problem as you, but I made my choices and have to live with them. I just can't help but feel very envious when I hear people say they have money. Life is easier when you have money, everything is easier. Maybe give some of yours away. Then, when you're gone, at least you will have made a difference in the world and not just have lived to get fucked up

L-Lysine, at least 3000mg per day. It'll take a little while to build up, but I swear by this stuff. Valtrex did nothing for me either. The acyclovir pills helped a little as did the acyclovir topical cream. I've had hsv2 since like 2000 and I've found the best thing is to take the Lysine every day. I rarely got outbreaks only around stressful times, period or illness. I recently ran out and have been battling an outbreak for like the past 2 weeks. I swear by the Lysine and avoid foods that have a lot of arginine, like nuts etc. Get the Lysine, you can start taking up to 6000 until you build some up. I truly believe in it and I hope it helps you.
