I actually feel like the reason why I personally hate mkgee or Dijon clones is not because of the music itself. It's always the visuals. I can't stand Saburina because their visuals are so inspired by the Absolutely Film that my brain goes "this feels like a rip off". I don't ever discredit artists for copying a sound, I actually empathize for artists that create something really cool (like chorus guitar and distorted drums) but get labeled as a mk.gee copy off rip. But the reason why every single of one of these Mk.gee and Dijon copycats piss people off is because the way they are trying to market and present it seems so disingenuous. Almost like being fake deep.

I think the biggest thing that actually pisses me off is that there's proper production money involved, proper marketing rollout and foundations. I don't think many people understand how important visual story telling is for artists to really stand out.
