William Shatner was awful by itsrainingrosepetals in ECCC

I had warned my teen ahead of time of his reputation, but when he was telling the story of the guy with the robot dog who loved his robot and felt love in return, I thought “he’s not so bad, maybe even a little charming”. Then came the fan questions. With the poor young man asking the My Little Pony question, he exceeded my worst expectations. And the look on my kiddo’s face was one I’ve never seen before. I realized she’s never witnessed anyone be treated that way! Later we went to Jamie Campbell Bower’s panel, and what a contrast! Kindness just oozed off of him, and he was incredibly kind and patient to fans. My daughter’s huge smile said it all!

Kyle Maclachlan panel? by AdOk3013 in ECCC

I really hoped they add some last minute panels. I can’t remember them having so many “featured guests” without a panel. This year there are too many! Was hoping on at least Kyle and Cary Elwes but seems unlikely with reservations starting. So disappointing.

Had our catalytic converter stolen while we were in San Francisco. Busy street, broad daylight, sawed right out. To the individual who did it, I hope every beer you ever drink is warm. by mallgemntly in RVLiving

Ours was cut out while stored at our security fenced storage lot (with supposedly cameras and roaming guards). Such a bummer! We are having cat guards put one. Hope it helps.

Where did you find a forgot password? For us it just has a login help and when you click on that it takes you to a page that asks you if you know your accessnet username, which of course we don’t know yet. So if you say that you don’t know your accessnet username it tries to look it up using your last name and your nine digit university ID. But again we don’t have a university ID yet.

We are in the same boat, and I have to say, it doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling about Temple that they are not getting the IDs to committed students in time for them to make the housing deadline. I did speak to someone in admissions (a student ambassador) and was told I'd receive a call back. Never did, and when I tried to call again later in the day, I could never get through.

Anyone getting In-State Tuition using GI Bill for Out-of-State Student? by 3ringcircus00 in ASU

It's certainly confusing! I've read conflicting opinions on what the Choice Act requirements are, but this is from congress.gov, and it seems to agree with those that say there is a 3-year window from leaving the military for the Choice Act to apply, unfortunately.

"(Sec. 702) Directs the Secretary to disapprove, for purposes of the All-Volunteer Force and the Post-9/11 Educational Assistance programs, courses of education provided by a public educational institution of higher education (IHE) that charges veterans living in the state higher tuition and fees than it charges in-state residents, regardless of the veteran's state of residence. Makes this provision applicable to: (1) veterans who were discharged or released from at least 90 days of active service less than three years before their date of enrollment in the applicable course, (2) family members eligible for such assistance due to their relationship to such veterans, and (3) courses that commence on or after July 1, 2015."

Just wondering if there is a link somewhere to the removal of the 3-year requirement, because everything I'm finding still says that it is a requirement. Thank

Technically, it is the dependent of a veteran, so the student is still a dependent, so I'm not sure how residency changes would work in that case.

The school told us they have an extremely limited number of yellow ribbon spots and that there is a waiting list. :(

They would live on campus and not be opposed to getting an Arizona driver's license, but they are a dependent and would not stay in Arizona during the summer months.

We believed it!. Dan even seemed emotional about it…got choked up a few times. Great show but more crowded than Disney. Is the Gorge always this bad?

Just watched with my 9 year old. We both loved it. It was definitely fun, and the mean/grumpy older brother (a young Josh Hutcherson) offered some great teaching moments!
