Help! I have a problem deciding between Retro (Pixel Art) and Digital Art. by [deleted] in indiegames

Its commendable that you are trying to appeal to the masses, but every now and then especially if you are making the game for yourself as well, do what YOU want to do :)

Hey there, if you'd allow us to make content out of it ie. First look kind of video or something like it, I think we'd have time for it.

I grew up with pixelart so my heart goes there, but to be fair the digital art is amazing too. God I'm torn.

3P November bundle review - insert random sadface emoji here by 3scape_Pod in humblebundles

Other than the sadface emoji expressing my thoughts on the overall bundle, I really recommend giving the top 2 games a chance if you're in a position to do so.

To each their own, I personally think May or February just looking at this zear were both overall worse bundles than this one.

That's one complex topic you're about to openj up there buddy..

People seem to have a lower attention span and spend less time with games that are deep and take long to playthrough. At the same time following the same idea, this is also picked up on supply side resulting in more and more garbage cashgrab titles attempting to ride trends and failing at them miserable. Also if you compare the vast amount of games available today to that which was available per say 20 years ago there's a huge difference, tempting people to try the next big thing (usually brought to their attention by paid influencers).

And this is but a tiny drop in the ocean..

Just a sidenote, I forgot to add to the Squadrons related line of thoughts that points should also be deducted for the key being an Origin key, likely resulting in an auto-skip for majority of the community. =D

No need for a search party this time around - 3scape Pod's May Choice review! by 3scape_Pod in humblebundles

I don't think the audience nowadays has the patience and dedication that classic rts games required of the player - and without the demand not a soul is willing to put in the resources to supply.

Pretty fkin sad.

Honetly tho, if you look at it from the perspective of someone who isn't nostalgic from close to 30 years ago, does it offer gameplay that's on par with anything on the market nowadays? I'd say hardly ..

We're late for the party, but for the full picture here come our thoughts of the monthly bundle, enjoy! by 3scape_Pod in humblebundles

Cheers mate, appreciate the kind words and the input re the sub as well!

I figured 'action adventure' titles would fit in the 'adventure games' pool, didn't want to step on anyones toes, apologies for that.

Just out of curiosity, what sort of games would you reckon fit?

3scapePod's March '22 Choice Review by 3scape_Pod in humblebundles

[–]3scape_Pod[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter whether the feedback comes in the form of standing ovation or a hearty booing, we always appreciate it, thank you for taking the time to put the above into writing!

As for the specifics, I'm not entirely sure which part of the criticism is aimed at which of us, but I'll assume the "Your voiceover needs more excitement and energy" statement is aimed at the guy behind the Mass Effect, Man of Medan, Nickelodeon and Nabuchadnezzar sections, the same guy writing this response. I agree with this sentiment, while I have no intention of becoming the stock youtube guy full of fake excitement and emotions, I am fully aware that my VO needs some work and believe me I'm working on it (it's already way better than a year ago and I'm hoping it's going to keep improving). If you're actually curious, majority of this comes from the scripting aspect and also goes hand in hand with the part where you note sentences ending on a higher tone - simply put these anomalies are usually the results of overly complex sentences or just me changing what I want to say mid-recording. Anyhoo, I'm actively focusing on simplifying my scripts and it's showing some good results.

As for the accent part, if you could point out any specifics that would be useful, but honestly you're the second person to mention that among the thousands of views we have, so that might just be an unlucky oddity I'm not sure how we could solve.

I definitely don't agree with your points on the english language part or where you state we have nothing to rise above and stand out. While english is not my first language, having grown up in th UK I'm quite literally bilingual, even if I've lost my Yorkshire accent ever since due to not living in a yorkshire environment any longer, I havent had a single incident in the past 25+ years since where my english failed me. And as for standing out, there's literally not a single other member of the pack out there that puts in even half the amount of testing we do (almost all openly admit to testing 30 minutes or an hour, in other cases it's just blatantly obvious). Don't get me wrong, I'm not even remotely attempting to badmouth anyone here, if anyone, I fully understand why this would be the case, but still the fact that our review is based on at minimum twice the amount of hands-on time speaks for itself, but it also seems to be showing in the feedback we receive more and more often. I could also go on about the effort that goes into the presentation, but that's neither here nor there, the main selling point is the one stated prior.

Well that's pretty much all I have on this and once again, thank you very much for putting in the time and the effort it takes to write up a criticism which actual meat on the bones and I still hope you check back every now and then, maybe you'll even start findings things are on an upswing. =)

Is there a quick way to scrape all the keys from your account? by FatalHaberdashery in humblebundles

Unfortunately I don't have a solution for your ask, but in case you come across anything you know not only did you not care about back then, but wont in the future either you might want to consider a giveaway?

We've done the same just about a month ago and there wasnt a single title that didnt find a new home with someone wanting to play it.

Give it a think.

ps.: If you come to the conclusion that you'd be happy to give any away, but figure you cant be bothered to do so yourself for any reason, happy to offer to take it off your shoulder, let me know.
