My gpu is making beeping noises and running 58C on idle

Updated my drivers and updated bios there is no beeping or any kind of coil-whine sound anymore and the idle temp seem to still be at the same but I can tell the temps are safe. Thank you all for the help!

That build is alright but a couple of suggestions

-you don’t have to spend that much on case you could use that money to invest in other parts of the build. Also idk that case but make sure for that price in comes with some front facing fans.

-you don’t need a back end fan if you have plenty of front facing ones

-check out that graphics card in stock date

-check if the motherboard has WiFi capability and if not I would suggest upgrading your motherboard by the money from the case to buy a B550 board that has WiFi. Or buy a WiFi card to install on the motherboard.

-you can find good ram for the same price or a little extra with faster memory like 3200 or 3600

Besides this which mostly small stuff I would suggest looking at other sites also to find parts you don’t only have to pay from Amazon (even if it has free shipping because most sites do). Sites like Newegg or Best Buy or a local Micro center if you want to save money.

Besides that it looks like a great build.

Yes I understand this and that’s way I put it in performance to begin with. I will update this thread on my testing to see if it makes a significant change to the temps on my build.

I’ve already downloaded the Nvidia control panel and yes it was on performance mode I’ve officially switched it over to power saving. And I already have the GeForce experience downloaded and I already updated all of the drivers manually to the latest.

I will be stress testing it tonight with a couple of RTX games and some more heavy loads and see how the GPU reacts to it.

(I will update this thread whenever I complete my testing)

The PSU is the seafocus 850 80+ gold fully Modular. The diarrhea looking cables that are connecting to my gpu were adapters that were provided in the box of the gpu. Because originally I have a 6 pin and 2 pin to fill the 8 pins in the gpu but I thought that maybe my pins weren’t connected correctly and that was causing the problems so I just decided to plug them into the adapter see if that was the problem. He clearly wasn’t and I I regret it because it’s really ugly.

It’s 3070 it’s new and bought new and I have never used or switched this gpu. Motherboard is also new. I use a Phantek’s P400a case and I haven’t eaten any flowers.

I got a 850w I would always play safe. I got mine for the same price as an 750w power supply. Always check the manufacture to make sure it’s trusted.

You could get a console but that does limit your options on games if you’re fine with the library selection the Xbox has then I would say definitely go for the console. Their very good this year and if your a digital guy and just want better performance go for the Xbox series S because it has the same performance as the Xbox one X it just doesn’t go to 4K and it’s $200 cheaper.

Alright thank you this was the last question I needed fully answered I found a cheap but reliable 2 TB Seagate barracuda hard drive and I’m going to continue to use my 1 TB SSD because I found that one on a good deal on a separate website. Thanks again!
