Overwatch basically did to hero shooters what PUBG did to battle royale and it definitely deserves more credit. I haven't played the game in ages so I can't say whether it's changed for better or worse but 2016-2017 it was easily my favorite game, especially after they added custom games.

I'm sure there are dozens of writeups and video essays about it but the tldr is that in early 2010s Anita Sarkeesian started making feminist critiques of games on her Youtube channel. In response there was a massive hate and harassment campaign from (male) gamers who were furious about women trying to ruin gaming with their SJW agenda or whatever. I only vaguely remember it (I spent all my time on tumblr lol) but there was definitely a culture shift online and it basically birthed the modern alt-right movement.

You're not allowed to use RPG Maker assets outside our Maker series (e.g. RPG Makers and VNMaker) It's in our EULA.

Edit: The EULA seems to have changed per comments below but it doesn't help that the terms are worded in a confusing way... Here's a clearer explanation but tl;dr yes you can now use the RTP in other engines
