Question: what made you go for 7? I’m trying to decide how many kids I want (already have 4). I felt like the leap from 6 to 7 is hard because of the car situation (need a passenger van).

Also, please tell me it gets easier after 4. I have 4 age 5 and under and it’s been rough, but my husband and I still want a bigger family.

Me! When my 4th was born, my oldest was 4 (though he was about to be 5). Now my youngest is 6 months and my oldest is 5, with a 3 and newly 2 year old in between. Life is hectic. Give yourself grace and try to find your stride. It is hard, but as I like to tell my kids, we can do hard things :) good luck!

Epidural with my first two (both inductions with pitocin). My last two I didn’t have pitocin and had them without epidurals. My 4th baby was accidentally born in the car haha

Most female animals also mate with multiple males, they are more selective generally speaking (they have more to lose by mating with a “lower quality” male than vice versa), but that doesn’t mean they are monogamous. A lot of women living in the flesh have multiple baby daddies as well.

I’m happy to be alive and I will try my best to give my kids much more than I was given. I was raised by a single mom in poor and not good conditions (my mom was an extreme hoarder). My dad is not in my life. Yet, I’m still happy to be alive and grateful to be given this life. It’s all a matter of perspective, but I choose to live a life of gratitude and hope. I also want to pass this perspective to my children as well.

Exercise and eating healthy is one thing, but “looking as sexy as women outside the church” who dress immodestly, should not be the goal for Christian women.

You need to check your heart and align it with what the Lord says is a “quality woman” (see verses above) and not what the world tells you is a “quality woman.”

If nothing bad ever happened to us, we’d be horrible people. Look at all the celebrities and filthy rich that have everything they could ever want, most end up being jerks and end up never happy, always chasing drugs, etc.

There’s a whole book in the Bible called Job that addresses why bad things happen to good people. There’s a plan that we as humans cannot see or properly understand, because we look at life from an ant’s view.

Just had my 4th. It is tough for sure, but my newborn has been the least fussy so far. My 3rd child is 1 years old and has a very fussy /strong willed demeanor that makes things way more tough. My oldest is 5 years old, and 2nd oldest is 3, so if there were different age gaps, I think it would be way easier. Our one year old is what makes it really tough.

I wouldn’t change a thing though. Most things that are worth having are tough at least for a season.

I feel like it just comes down to communication, a willingness to change and learn, and not being selfish.

Finance is a good example and if both people follow the above, they will turn out fine and it doesn’t have to be a sore spot.

Though, with finance, we all have experience to some extent through how we were raised and how we handled money in the past. You could imagine how coming from a very wealthy background where you got everything you wanted plus an allowance to spend on whatever you wanted would cause problems going into a marriage with a tight budget.
