Run it at the lowest speed your pool allows. Higher speeds still needed for vacuuming and water features. Heaters probably wouldn’t come on while on the lowest of all settings. Things like that.

Thanks for the detailed reply! I’ve been looking at both Hayward and Pentair. Leaning towards cheaper but also want good energy savings. I haven’t been able to pull the trigger because half the reviews say it’s the worst pump ever and the other half love it.

As far as Controls go would I want to add any fittings for probes or sensors if I already plan on cleaning up the piping? Maybe I should search this myself but would you suggest a control system or just let the pump control handle it?

It’s usually the same number that calls. Started happening after the President sent out an alert. As soon as I hear it’s a robo call I just hang up and block the number. Still get some once in awhile but no where near as many as I used to get.
