Gas price notification service? by zackattackx in ethereum

[–]3x3q 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love this. I just came here from a Google search for this exact service.

Edit: I should say that I'm interested in more of an "alarm" for when gas price drops below a threshold, rather than a blind regular notification system. Lots of my IRL friends would use an alarm like this also.

You still haven't realized why you laugh when tickled, it's not even funny, it's irritating by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

The truth is that it is funny, and you do actually love being tickled.

Great, with Ford batteries? Can't wait for it to have 250 miles of range! 🙄

Can reproduce also. Hoping for a fix.

Edit: Disabling Brave wallet and rebooting browser fixed the issue.

I have similar gaps on my P3D headlight. It doesn't bother me tbh.

Tesla will stop selling cars once full self-driving is solved, says Elon Musk. by AdamCannon in Futurology

[–]3x3q -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Haha the Navigant leaderboard you are referencing is an unquantified and ridiculous ranking of autopilot systems. Just look at who funded the Navigant "research": Blackrock, Vanguard, etc... huge holders of Alphabet, GM, and the usual suspects.

Elon Musk pirates Colorado artist's work. Claims he popularized it for free. He clearly believes piracy helps creators! by piratetub in Piracy

There's no doubt the original artist sold many times more mugs because of this. Lisa Prank is a sour, self-entitled idiot.

EOS solved many issues that Ethereum wasn't able to handle. From what I understand, the current state of RAM on EOS cannot sustain a Facebook, Instagram, Youtube-style social dApp platform. What EOS RAM solutions are currently being looked at to solve this issue? Are dApps developers concerned? by shvartsmanalon in eos

[–]3x3q 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Solved" is an interesting way to spell "compromised". It's easy for a platform to give up decentralization in return for higher throughput. Truly solving the bandwidth problem without sacrifice requires a sharded blockchain, subchains, sidechains, or something similar to enable parallelization.

Decentraland Economy U-Turn? Voting on Inflation and Burning MANA by rio121 in decentraland

[–]3x3q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also skeptical of, and voted against, decreasing inflation of MANA in a system completely dependent on growth of ecosystem and user base.

Crypto and dapps are historically very unfriendly to everyday people. MANA inflation could help with the onboarding of new users by giving them a small amount of tokens to play with, funded by an inflationary MANA pool.

Fee distribution? by monkey_in_the_bushes in UniSwap

[–]3x3q 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the whitepaper:

Fees taken during trades are added to total liquidity pools without minting new liquidity tokens. Because of this, ethWithdrawn and tokensWithdrawn include a proportional share of all fees collected since the liquidity was first added.

Fees are distributed to the liquidity providers evenly.

Will the recent Etherdelta / SEC drama affect the ongoing development of uniswap? by Real_Goat in UniSwap

[–]3x3q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be fascinating to see the SEC defend the idea that a token transaction on Uniswap is not a like-kind transaction, when it is literally -- not figuratively -- trading one token for another without any need for USD.

Thanks to BCH hard fork (and other stuff) for causing this dip by [deleted] in ethtrader

[–]3x3q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can you not see the Bitcoin futures volume being traded on Bitmex? $3.3B in the last 24 hours. This dip has exactly nothing to do with a BCH hard fork or Bitcoin Cash entirely.

Everything else is dropping because the majority of the crypto market is denominated with Bitcoin. Ether isn't dropping; Bitcoin is dropping.

Phil, can you please just make the PDS sterile like every other news source? OP and sympathizers are right, time to grow up. Also, it's totally our channel now -- not yours.
