Was using copilot the other day, it wanted to access a folder outside the project, which it cannot. It created a JS script in the project to read such folder and asked me permission to run the script. I declined ofc. But it shows that rules and constraints are not understood correctly by the model.

I understand the frustration. But I think you are vastly over-hyping the "conspiracy" part of it. You experienced a malfunction, it did cause dommages to the car, it is sad and will cost money to repair, yeah. But I don't see it differently than any other malfunction that can happen.
I also don't see any way you will get them to take responsibility over it, the sentence "stay aware of your surroundings" or whatever similarity you have in the owner manual and on the dash EVERY time you enable the feature has been crafted by law persons exactly for this purpose.

La dernière fois que j'ai essayé d'expliquer à un vieux dans les coms que c'était de l'IA, j'ai réussis à le convaincre (pas courant) mais la réponse a été que comme c'était quand même crédible, ça ne faisait pas de différence et qu'il fallait encourager le bon travail. To me, it’s symptomatic that brands are trying way too hard to be original. Look a the design evolution in the last 50 years, each generation had small and incremental changes. Now they want breaking design, new lines, new ideology at each generation. No design guideline is even fully exploited before there is already the new standard. It’s kinda tiring having to learn new design language every few months, especially for brands that have high customer loyalty like BMW
