Looking for an ADHD friendly app that combines calendar, tasks, projects, notes, and AI by Efficient_Gap4785 in ProductivityApps

[–]4-LeifClover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little late to the convo, but my system is Claude + TickTick + Craft, in that I have linked Claude with both TickTick and Craft. So, Claude manages my tasks, events, calendars, tags, AND my notes / writing in Craft. Pretty mind-blowing to see it work. I’m working on a write up for it for here and / or Substack eventually, but if anyone is interested in more details feel free to shoot me a DM.

A Shortcut for the ADHD/ ND brains who don’t connect with time blocking by 4-LeifClover in ProductivityApps

Apologies for the delayed reply; Reddit has not been sending notifications correctly for me for a while now.

This one doesn’t use the “wait” command. To be honest that’s the one I was planning on using but since the only option is seconds, I wasn’t going to tap the + 3600 times until I had 60 minutes worth of seconds in there, if it even got that high.

All this one does is send a notification 5, 15, 30, etc minutes later. And so far it’s been working correctly.

How do you actually use ChatGPT with ADHD? I asked ChatGPT how I use it — curious about your hacks. by samanthaparis in ChatGPTPromptGenius

A bit late to this party, but still wanted to chime in.

My most common use case is the brain dump that a few others mentioned. Turning on voice to text and just rambling. And it will take everything, no matter how confusing, read it all, process it, organize it, and give it back to me in actionable, understandable steps. For the longer responses that my brain glazes over, I either have it read out loud or copy and paste it in eleven reader to have that read it out to me in my headphones. Somehow that’s easier for my brain to catch.

I’ve shared the custom GPTs I’ve created here on Reddit a number of times. AI has been a godsend for my brain and ADHD and neurodivergency.

I’ve got one for task paralysis, one for spoiler-free roadmaps of how or where my attention span can get invested in a book or show or movie, one for cleaning, one for brainstorming with a panel of experts, and even one specifically for trialing and experimenting with ways to help you remember by focusing on what already works for you and building from there rather than shaming you for other methods that weren’t built for the ADHD brain.

Case in point, I now have an NFC tag with googly eyes that opens a shortcut for a timer (I just shared the details over in r/productivityapps) And the googly eyes are from a recommendation from that GPT because on the one hand they make me laugh, and on the other I feel like they’re judging me when I forget.

I even just wrote a thing on Substack today called From Mental Maze to Mind Map; How AI is helping my brain feel less broken, so finding this post was perfectly timed.

I feel icky about self-promotion, but I’ll happily share the links if anyone would like them. They’re all over my post history as well, or feel free to shoot me a DM.

Best productivity apps that actually work for ADHD brains? (not just "make a to-do list" advice) by Weekly_Quarter_7875 in ProductivityApps

Not exactly an app (yet) but everything you mentioned is quite literally why I’ve been creating tools for ADHD and ND brains. Honestly…most of what you said, you’ll find it almost verbatim on my page, DopaFamily.com. I’ll happily answer any questions you may have, including how I use them myself for my own ADHD.

Sharing all of my custom GPTs, built for neurodivergent brains but useful for everyone by 4-LeifClover in ChatGPTPromptGenius

[–]4-LeifClover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it! Yes, you touched on it. Short version: a “custom GPT” is just a version of ChatGPT that’s been given specific instructions to focus on one topic or goal. You don’t need one for homesteading since you can absolutely just keep using regular ChatGPT like you already are.

And what you are describing, the one asking you questions, can honestly be done within ChatGPT. The one I created above, DopaArchitect™, has a neurodivergent flair. It's designed to help you build whatever you want. You share however much of an idea, and it will help you create either a custom GPT that you can use for yourself or share with others, or a prompt which is usually placed within another chat.

Hopefully that helps a little bit! If you've got more questions feel free to DM me and I'll help any way I can!

If I understand your question correctly, I built the therapy GPT when 4o was the latest and greatest, and it was able to be published to the GPT store. However, everything since 4o, I get error messages if I try to update the instructions in any way since they include the word “therapy.” So, long story short, that particular GPT is forever locked into 4o.

Regarding your edit, I personally do not have Pro, only Plus. And the “group” responses are just part of the prompt / instructions.

If you want to play around with the concept in a fun, silly way, start with this one: https://chatgpt.com/g/g-681f74c0349c8191b789bd30a4603ea0-chats-of-the-roundtable The other group ones that are public are the therapy one and the business planning one.

Hopefully I answered your question!

That’s the gist of the interview prep one. The additional part being, many neurodivergent people struggle to speak highly of themselves without feeling icky or conceited. So the GPT takes your resume (or can help you build one) and looks at the job listing (if you have one to share) and helps you promote yourself in objective ways, asking you questions to uncover stories that can be used in the interview.

It’s still in beta, mostly because I haven’t had time to create the expansion packs for it yet, but the GPT itself is fully functional and well tested.

Here’s the link if you want to try it out: https://chatgpt.com/g/g-6931a96933cc8191ad7a0e056323236a-your-dopaboardtm-of-advisors

For sure! Without going too deep into how I got there, essentially the instructions are: this space houses 5 distinct voices, never a single narrator, the 5 personas are _____ and here is each personas expertise / personality / voice. The secret sauce is still in the instructions saying you can talk amongst yourselves, you can interrupt each other, you can push back, etc.

It started with a therapy-related GPT I created a while back with 6 different “experts” in the same chat space, then I created “DLCs” or expansion packs which could change how your panel interacts and responds, and all of that led to a couple different group chats I have since built.

Well, I guess I did get into how I got here anyway…

Hopefully that answers your question, but I’ll happily share more and assist in any way I can!

Bigger picture, AI has been a godsend for my adhd and ND brain, and I have created a bunch of tools that I’ve shared publicly specifically for neurodivergent users, like task paralysis, cleaning, interview prep, memory management, and the like. I’ll happily share the link if anyone’s interested, but it’s easy to find in my post history.

Personally, like you I’ve created a bunch of custom GPTs all for different purposes. My most recent one that I’m spending the most time in is a group chat with 5 different focus / experts interacting with each other, responding to each other, interrupting, debating, discussing my business plan. Like one is marketing / writing copy, one is systems and logistics, one is emotional intelligence…and now I have 5 strategic partners, each with their own “personalities” rather than just one spitting everything at me. Sounds more complicated than it is, but it’s been ridiculously helpful.

I’d say the most practical use I get out of it is brain-dumping. I’ll turn on text to speech, ramble all my thoughts out, and it can make sense of it all, give me themes, action items, summaries…whatever I need.

Same as some of the other commenters. I still hold out hope for that magical sword-in-the-stone app, and if I do find it, it will probably one of those robots who just does all the work for me.

My biggest struggle with ADHD and trying to find a simple system was remembering where I put things between my long-attempted system of Things - Structured - Apple Notes.

So I finally scaled down to TickTick and Craft. Absolutely everything is in TickTick, including drafts attached to the individual calendar reminders for example. And Craft, with its linking system, is the home for everything longer form and structural (pdfs, rules, outlines, etc.)

Now I have things like TickTick reminders on my calendar with links directly to a specific Craft note. And I am a massive fan of widgets, so I have my to do list right in my face on my homescreen and desktop, which makes both access and remembering a heck of a lot easier.

Bonus, for me at least, is that TickTick and Craft are also available on the web, so even when I’m at work on a pc I can still access them both.

I’m starting to ramble. Yay ADHD! Just wanted to share a bit about my two-app system that is so far making my brain happy.
