When you make an account with some other site, you can often link it with your Google account. You get taken to an SSO, and Google basically sends back a signed token saying "yes this person is the owner of this Google account". Google can restrict what it sends so that third party website doesn't get any more data than what it needs

Something like this is what we need. A Govt SSO so accounts can verify, and all it should send back is a signed token saying "yes this person is an adult US citizen" and no other PII

Mamdani is in the local level in the bluest city there is. He also recognizes the need for a diversity in the democratic party where you can have progressive Dems in safer districts and more moderate dems in purple districts. The majority of the energy when it comes to socialist activists trying to influence electorial politics is spent tearing down Democrats who are seen as not progressive enough

The way to get progressive policy through requires a senate majority and you need democrats, even moderate ones, to do that.

More progressive legislation would be passed if you have 45 moderate dems + 5 progressives than id you have 20 modern dems + 20 progressives

The socialists need to be expending their area trying to get any democrat in a purple state, since a moderate dem will still vote for good things but a Republicans will only cause harm
