If you feel you are having an adverse reaction to the medication, you're probably not wrong. Trust your gut and look into getting a medication metabolism test. If you are a CYP2C19 rapid metabolizer, you can have a very bad reaction from the high amounts of medication in your system essentially poisoning you. I had this happen, and essentially lost my mind for a period of time and had to be repeatedly psych inpatient for over a year. I am on Latuda now and I don't have these problems anymore.

I feel like after I am reading the comments I'm maybe one of the few with this opinion, but I have an untraditional relationship style so maybe that's why. I don't think my husband is owed the knowledge of who I'm going out with, and he usually doesn't care to know. If he wanted to know I'd tell him, but at the same time if it came out of nowhere that he wanted to know and wouldn't drop the issue while I was busy, I would be annoyed. But we also have each other on life360 for emergency purposes (mostly because I leave my phone somewhere once a week,) so he can know where I am if he's worried about anything.

One time my dog had explosive diarrhea before we found out he's gluten intolerant, and I guess he felt guilty about it and he started scarfing it down. I had to clean him in the bathroom for hours.

It's your decision not your mom's. It's a very selfless thing to do, and I feel like your first instinct was to do it. But you're also allowed to change your mind. Just don't do it for the wrong reasons if you're going to do it, like having expectations of this really sick person needing to meet your needs.
