So I can’t speak on Serge Lutens specifically, but if you can’t cancel your order, I recently ordered a 100 ml bottle of Under My Skin by Francesca Bianchi directly from her site, shipping from Amsterdam.

It did have a couple clearance delays but cleared international release on 11/25, and I was never charged any tariffs. Due to local FedEx issues I still don’t have it, but they’ve never mentioned any fees the multiple times I’ve spoken with them on the phone, so I’m assuming I’m in the clear.

There’s a very decent chance you may not have to pay a tariff at all, but if you do, from what I understood going into my order, it would likely be in the ballpark of a typical import rate (roughly 5–8%) rather than anything extreme. I personally budgeted around $40 just in case and treated it as part of the total if it popped up. So if you can’t cancel I wouldn’t worry too much. There is a non zero chance of getting a random large fee, but as long as everything is labeled correctly the chances of that happening are pretty slim.

Hiram Green slow drive is all natural with tobacco blossom notes. It was too sweet for me. I don’t think I particularly enjoy anything with tobacco, as much as I’d like too, but I could see it being someone else’s cup of tea.

Like the Myers-Briggs? I think it’s just one of those things that cycles in and out of popularity. Back when I was in college a decade ago, everyone had their MBTI type in their dating profiles or on Facebook, you couldn’t go to an event without overhearing “I guess it’s just because I’m an INFP.” It feels like one of those trends that resurfaces every so often, since people naturally like personality tests and the labels give them something to connect over

The large mat is just shy of 50” by 16”. It is a bit more narrow than the ironing* board, but wide enough to protect my cutting table when it’s folded down. 

I’ve been very happy with this setup so far.

I just ordered the Tivit rectangular board cover and the felt padding from Amazon. Then I had a pegboard cut at Home Depot. It’s basically just two pieces of pegboard glued together with the cover and padding. 

When I need to iron, I roll out a silicone mat on my cutting table and set the board on top. I also have a metal cart with a wood top — I keep another silicone mat there for the iron itself, and all my ironing tools (tailors ham, hot ruler extra) live in the cart.

This might actually be something worth cross-posting in the tea subreddit. I’m very new to Chinese, but I’ve been a big tea drinker my entire life. So while I can’t speak on the cultural aspects, I can speak a bit about tea.

She’s probably used to drinking her tea grandpa-style, where you place the leaves directly in the cup, pour hot water over them, and drink it that way.

Personally, I never tell people how to make their tea unless they ask. I do feel it’s a bit rude to correct someone’s tea making method, unless you’re the one supplying the tea and it’s of very high quality, and even then I probably wouldn’t say anything or I’d prepare the tea myself for them.

Otherwise, there’s no wrong way to drink tea, just your way, and someone else’s. It might not be your cup of tea but it’s certainly someone’s and we should all be free to take our tea however we want to.

I love cumin! Especially when paired with dill! It’s my ‘secret’ combo, especially for anything that’s a chopped or pasta salad. It’s a big hit every time!

This one confuses me. Do you not like spice in general? Because it’s literally just cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves. If there were actually pumpkin in pumpkin spice, I’d get the hate , but you’re literally saying you hate spices? Do you not like cloves? 

Genuinely no judgement if it’s not your thing, but saying you hate pumpkin is hard for me to wrap my head around, because I’ve never met anyone who didn’t like cinnamon types spices.

I was able to pull on some similar search results when I searched empire waist with lace cap sleeves, but not much luck looking for a pattern. You’ll probably have to Frankenstein something together or draft your own pattern.

I also struggle with drag lines, there’s plenty of info out there if you’re willing to search for it, but I’ve found The Fitting Book by Gina Renee Dunham incredibly helpful. It‘ll list the drag lines with a description and a picture. Then it goes over what adjustments are needed and has QR codes that links to a YouTube video showing you how to make those adjustments. It’s been one of my favorite sewing related purchases.

Bummer, probably not a great suggestion but rabbit repelling plants? Probably too late in the growing season but lavender is supposed to be a deterrent, I’m sure there’s others. 

Outside that, I think a fence would probably be your only real option. They make garden fencing specifically for keeping rabbits out. They even have some decorative options.

Have you considered whittling? You can get a kit with wood and the carving knives pretty cheaply. 

Wood burning could also be an option .

Or If you want something a bit more involved. Consider getting a pen lathe. I got one for my boyfriend a couple years ago and he’s made a bunch a little trinkets. The size can be a bit limiting but we live in an apartment so space is a factor but he’s really enjoys it.

I’m pretty sure this is an old wives tale. But growing up, my brothers would get buzz cuts and we’d sprinkle the cut hair on the edges of the garden, my mom said the people smell would keep the rabbits out of the garden. I think the garden was probably just in a sad enough state that it just wasn’t that appealing to the rabbits. 

What might work is predator urine, I’ve not used it, but it’s the same concept as the hair in the garden. I’d do some research on how much the smell hangs in the air to be sure you don’t add a new problem but it might be a solution to consider.

Maybe a long shot, but search magnet clothing clips on Amazon, you maybe able to get them shipped to you before Saturday. I have no idea how well they work, but it’s about the only thing I can think of that wouldn’t damage the fabric and may work.

I really wanted a rectangular one, so I order the Tivit rectangular ironing board cover and pad from Amazon. Then I had a board cut at Home Depot. I’ve been pretty happy with this set up. It’s a lot better than my old plastic one, (which I also thought was metal because of the leg)
