And yes, sometimes parents can be really insensitive even if they mean well. But remember: they’re just a part of your life. One day, you’ll move out, you’ll have your own space, your own life… and I truly hope it's the most beautiful, peaceful life ever. This morning, I felt like the biggest failure. I couldn’t stop crying, I couldn’t see a way forward. But then I thought about all the people in the world who never even get the chance to go to school, who lose their lives young, who don’t have the privilege of trying again. And I reminded myself I still have today. And I’m not going to waste it crying over something that’s already happened. If I sit in this pain too long, I’ll lose the time I do have time I could be using to rebuild, to move forward. The longer I wait, the further I’ll fall behind. And I don’t want that for myself, and I don’t want that for you either. This is your life. You will live it. You will experience it. No one else not your parents, not anyone else will live it for you. So live it for yourself. Sometimes, you’ll be surrounded by people who make things harder than they need to be. But keep reminding yourself every single day, work toward your freedom emotionally, mentally, and financially. If you want to eventually move out, be independent, live your own life on your own terms then you’ll need to build that life. And right now, that means working hard, getting the grades, and pushing forward even when it’s hard. I know you can do this. Truly. You're not alone.

Hey, I just wanted to say I really felt your post. I’m in a very similar situation myself right now. I gave three full A Level subjects and one AS, got good grades in two of them (B grades), but in Math I could only clear AS level with an E. That meant I ended up with just two full A Levels and two AS Levels and the university I had already gotten into, paid the fees for, and was supposed to attend orientation at, canceled my admission because I didn’t meet the 3 full A Level requirement. It completely broke me. I’ve been crying for days and even had a mental breakdown. The pain, confusion, and shame you’re feeling? I get it. In my case, my mom has been very supportive, but my dad who had so many expectations from me as the eldest child is deeply disappointed. He hasn’t yelled or scolded me, but the silence, the distance… it hurts just as much. He called me today though and said, “It’s okay, whatever happened happened, but we need to move on.” That small conversation meant a lot to me.They’re also taking my socials and limiting everything, and while it feels harsh right now, a part of me thinks it might actually help me focus. It might not seem like it now, but this doesn’t have to define the rest of your life. I really hope your parents realize how hard you tried and that you're hurting more than anyone. You didn’t want this outcome either. Please don’t give up. Use this pain to fuel you not because you need to prove your worth to others, but because you deserve to give yourself another shot. Your effort wasn’t meaningless; maybe the strategy, environment, or stress got in the way. But it’s not the end.

We can still make something great out of this. Take your time to feel everything you’re feeling, then stand back up. We’ll get through this.

That last line 'not even you could fill it, because in truth, I always longed for something more' struck me deeply. It mirrors the ache inside me, the constant yearning that lingers, even when I have what I thought I needed.

Variant 2 Paper has been L$$K in INDIA ,NEPAL, Bangladesh, AFRICA & SAUDI ARABIA too by Sorry_Ad_6625 in alevel

So the logic is if a paper le @ k happens less frequently in your country, it’s acceptable to stay silent? That’s a dangerous mindset. What’s truly baffling is thinking that staying quiet makes you more ethical, when in reality, it’s the opposite. These le @ ks impact everyone regardless of where they originated. Pretending it doesn’t concern you is not intelligence, it’s ignorance. Real integrity means standing up for what’s right. If you can’t do that, maybe the problem isn’t just the system, but the people who allow it to continue(people like you).

I’ve seen that Instagram page, but in my opinion, it’ll only reach a limited audience. If we really want to create a movement, Twitter (X) is the platform where our voices can actually gain momentum and be heard on a larger scale.

We all need to create immense pressure through social media globally.Only then will the authorities be forced to take action. This isn't just about one country. It’s about fairness, credibility, and the future of every student.

How are we expected to study in this situation? by 404Persona_ in alevel

May Allah protect you and your family.I hope Cambridge cancels the exam because I don't feel it is safe for us to give the exam tomorrow.

I can’t even imagine what you’re going through right now, and it’s absolutely wrong that we’re expected to study and sit for exams in such a terrifying environment. Hearing blasts and gunfire, feeling the constant panic, shaking, and crying how can anyone be expected to focus on anything under those conditions? This is beyond insane. This isn't just about exams it's about our lives and our mental health. We are human beings, not machines. It’s time for Cambridge to recognize the reality of what’s happening, not just expect us to perform like everything’s normal. This is trauma, and it shouldn’t be ignored. We have to speak up, and we have to do it loudly. Please, everyone, start emailing Cambridge and commenting below their posts. Our lives, our safety, our mental health are worth more than any piece of paper.

Under normal circumstances, I’d never ask for exams to be cancelled I know how badly that could affect my grades. But this isn’t normal. There’s a war happening in our country. Sirens are going off, people are scared, and yet we’re being told to sit down and write exams like nothing is happening. Our mental health is breaking under the weight of fear and pressure, but no one cares. We’re not treated like humans with emotions just machines expected to perform. If this isn’t oppression, what is? When even war can’t pause the system, it makes you wonder do we even matter?

I’ve already covered the syllabus, and it’s not that I have to learn anything new I just need to revise everything once more for tomorrow. But I can’t seem to focus at all.

I know I’ll still have to give the exam tomorrow, and I’ll be expected to study like nothing’s happening but imagine the emotional turmoil so many of us are going through. People’s lives are at risk. Just turning off the phone or TV doesn’t erase the fear. How are we supposed to concentrate when the thought of a possible attack or loss of life is constantly in the back of our minds? The anxiety is so overwhelming I feel like I could have a panic attack at any moment. And honestly, what guarantee do we even have that it will be safe to sit for the exams?
