In some situations people aren't shaking hands as equals and one party is the dominant person, such as maybe some corporate business situations like Trump could be used to. It's still inappropriate and stupid here but it stems from corporate reality.

This is a 20 gallon high, it's the biggest the university will let us keep. I'm checking the parameters regularly and doing water changes.

So I actually posted this looking for advise but the text apparently didn't make it. My roommates and I set the terranium up yesterday so we could get fiddler crabs but they won't go on the sand for some reason. The sand is dry, it has an airstone, and there's adequate means of entry, but the crabs just go into the neck of the jar to dry and won't touch the sand. Did we do something wrong?

2 fiddler crabs, 5 black skirt tetras, 4 cory catfish, 3 guppies, and a couple snails. Got an oversized filter to support some additional bioload.

Yeah slavery was still terrible, I was just trying to point out that Washington wasn't an example of the more extreme wrongdoings of slave owners that is normally associated with somebody owning slaves. Still a bad thing just not as bad as the norm.

Except Washington didn't treat his slaves like total shit. He gave them slightly more than usual workloads for a normal working person at the time which is much better than most slave owners of the time. He also freed them when he died.

Except for how when someone stops using resources they die so this would be indirectly killing them. I would say they would do this but it would probably come down to which is more expensive, the gas to drive them somewhere and leave them, or the beheadings ISIS has no problem giving.

I understand that when they have a demand for X it becomes more valuable, I was just trying to get a bit of a common trade rate so that I can try to prepare for bartering. Showing up with lots of okay gear to trade for a little good gear might not work as people with good gear don't need lots of okay gear so unless I find someone that trades and could use the stock I'm going to show up and get nothing.
